A Hidden Gem in Bled Worth Finding
Tucked away behind what looks like an unassuming farmyard entrance lies one of Bled’s most memorable dining experiences. Step through the courtyard gates and the rustic facade melts into a dining room that feels effortlessly upscale: polished wood, soft lighting and just the right touch of alpine elegance mixed with farmer rustic building.
Service is led by a waiter who manages the rare hat-trick of being charming, quick-witted and impeccably professional. Watching someone who genuinely enjoys hospitality at work elevates the whole evening; his good-natured humour set the tone before the first course even landed.
And those plates! Every dish arrived like a miniature art installation, perfectly seasoned and balanced, leaving the salt and pepper shakers redundant (You can put them away from the tables). Main course was faultless; the only surprise was a whole grilled pear perched beside the meat. A caramelised slices or a spoon of pear marmalade might have blended more harmoniously, but that’s nit-picking in an otherwise flawless composition and my opinion.
Save room for dessert. The house take on the legendary Bled cream cake hits all the nostalgic notes, airy custard, whisper-thin pastry, a dusting of icing sugar, like your grandma would prepare it.
In short, this is the sort of place you hesitate to tell too many people about, for fear of losing the secret. Yet it deserves every bit of success. Let too many more happy diners discover this hidden...

The parking is conveniently located right by the reception, and you're allowed to use the hotel parking while dining — no one makes a fuss about it. Parking is free.
The atmosphere here is wonderful. On cooler days, there are more seating options available, as there’s additional space behind the restaurant, although those tables don’t have cooling fans. Around 3 PM, it’s easy to find a spot, but after 6 PM, it’s definitely a good idea to reserve a table.
The staff is incredibly friendly and professional, and the food is absolutely fantastic. We visited three years ago and again this year — and the high quality has been consistently maintained.
I especially recommend the trout, the mushroom soup, and the veal — though honestly, everything we had was excellent. If we ever return to Bled, we’ll definitely...
