Chosun Wharo Gui — Restaurant in Seoul

Best bibimbap I’ve ever had! And didn’t know they can serve it cold. I spontaneously had lunch for one here while looking for a place to eat in the area. And I didn’t want western food. I stumbled into this restaurant by chance after checking out the menu outside, without consulting social media / google / Naver.

Turns it it was such a good decision. It is a Korean barbecue restaurant, but I decided to order entrée item for lunch. They let me eat here, even though I was by myself, table for one. 10,000 won ($7.27 USD) for bibimbap. It looked like a ton and it was a humongous portion, but I ended up finishing the whole bowl. I loved that it was a healthier option full of greens.

Best Korean BBQ we had in Seoul!

The pork belly were served in thick slabs that are very juicy and tender. The banchan were all great, especially the Korean-style salad that was very refreshing.

The main star of the show was the Hanwoo beef sirloin - extremely tender with a melt-in-your-mouth texture. Add a little salt to it and the flavour is perfect. Definitely a must-get for beef lovers.

Fantastic food. Meat was Hanwoo 1++ grading (best), we could taste the meat while it’s not overly fatty. Fresh meat, banchan was great. We were skeptical at first looking at the bad reviews from 5-6 years ago but so so glad we decided to give it a try! So underrated and deserved a lot more traffic than it gets. Reasonable price too, and more of a local eats like the ones you see in Kdrama. Also good service by the aunty!!
