Freshwater eel — Restaurant in Seoul

If you prefer a much more down to earth atmosphere ( not very crowded and bustling place) please do come here !

Originally we plan to go to the other eel grilling restaurant nearby but it was closed (i guess korean eel’s god want me to discover this hidden gem)

This restaurant menu is really simple , but GOOD ! Either you get a non-sauce version and sauced version of eel ( we got sauced one)

It's so delicious! The eel is literally cooked fresh. Meat is extremely tender with slight crunch from the sides. Owner caught the eel from the tank, did something to it in the kitchen, came out and grilled it in front of us. He even taught us how to eat it: put a leaf on top of a slightly charcoal roasted seaweed, place the grilled eel on top and top it up with some thinly sliced garlic, wrapped it and eat it in one mouth. 👍🏻It was a beautiful meal and we ordered an extra eel because it's just...

Although the atmosphere wasn't that fancy or crowded, but the food was delicious. The eel was fresh prepared from the aquarium. The owners were really kind and grilled the eel the right way themselves for us (I would have burned it black haha) and showed us the right way to eat the eel with side dishes.
