Bar Berlin Teneriffa BnB Seaside Lounge — Restaurant in Adeje

Always like to visit a German Bar/restaurant when away on holiday – good to see Tenerife is no exception with a couple of choices. The Bar Berlin is upstairs, above some other restaurants on the beachfront – the entrance is narrow, but there is a man on the pavement who points the way up the stairs.

Actually, visited here twice as was very impressed with the food, which was simple but authentically German – the Hamburg Schnitzel, topped with a fried egg and served with fried potatoes with bacon was superb. So good, in fact, I had it twice. Not too big either, which is a bonus. Also enjoyed some breaded cheese and a fantastic large bowl of padron peppers – peppers are simple, but these were well done. For the eating.

The beer was Bitburger, which is a fine German lager – a lot of that was consumed. Sit and watch the beach whilst supping beer, always good to see.

This place seems very popular with German holidaymakers, which is surely a good sign. Friendly and helpful staff.

Bisher waren wir immer begeistert vom Essen. Aber was uns diesmal serviert wurde, kam nicht annähernd an die gewohnte Qualität. Wir waren mit 3 Personen zum Essen dort. Wir alle hatten Schnitzel (die sonst wirklich immer klasse waren). An allen drei Schnitzeln waren dermaßen viel Fett und Sehnen das man sich wirklich fragt ob hier panierte Küchenabfälle serviert wurden. Da bringt auch eine noch so leckere Panade nichts. Trotz Beschwerde mussten wir den vollen Preis für alle Schnitzel zahlen. Das "sowas" als Schnitzel verkauft wird ist schon grenzwertig, aber dann noch den vollen Preis zu kassieren ist schon wirklich eine Frechheit. Zumal wir uns beschwert haben und alle 3 Teller zur Hälfte zurückgegeben haben. Die Kellnerin hatte nicht die Befugnis einen Preisnachlass zu gewähren und von den Inhabern war weder Frank noch Sabine da. Klar das jeder mal frei haben muss, aber dann muss wenigstens eine Person Entscheidungen treffen können.

Wirklich schade, denn wir waren sonst immer gerne dort. Aber heute definitiv zum letzten Mal!

Übrigens kommt die tolle "Berliner Currywurst" aus dem Lidl wie uns die Bedienung erzählte. Auch nicht schlecht..... Lidl Qualität zu Preisen wie...
