What can I say, really you don't go to most of the boardwalk restaurants expecting a great dinner- you go for the drinks and the view. And Coco Beach has some pretty fantastic drinks and even better views. The staff was friendly enough. Not outstanding, but not terrible- everyone we interacted enough was fine. Now, the food...that's another story. I got the rack of BBQ ribs. Fortunately, I had the foresight to order my ribs with extra BBQ sauce, which was the only saving grace. The flavor was fine, but they were very dry. Either they have been cooked a long time ago and reheated, or have been sitting on the heat for a very, very long time. Either way, with the extra sauce, they were fine. Now, the concerning thing was the restroom. It definitely wasn't clean, and there were at least two small (live) cockroaches running amuck in the men's room. I'm aware, considering the location, that's probably not unusual, but it was concerning. Will we be back the next time we are in PDLA? For drinks, yea- we would be back, but I think we would...
Read moreI don’t like leaving bad reviews however this place is one of the worst places I have been in terms of service and food. We were a big group, we arrived during the afternoon for lunch the place was empty (no surprise). We sat down and ordered our drinks. We were told we could not order food for 10 minutes as the kitchen was busy. We eventually ordered the food with a girl who served us (who was lovely). We waited 2 hours for our food to be served. When it finally arrived this guy who served us thought it would be funny to mess with us and walk past our table with our food, after taking 2 hours and then slated us for being English (we are Irish :) ). The food was not edible, as you can see from the picture. The burgers came raw and barely warm. We got the bill and they added a 15% service charge to the bill without asking us. Then he talked behind our backs about us not giving him an additional tip. I do not recommended this...
Read moreWe went twice. The first evening we waited about 30 minutes before the waitress came to take our order. We ordered 2 mochtails. One was too sweet (that I had to poor in a half bottle of water) and the other one was good. The music was quite loud so we left after the drink.
We came back a couple of days later on an early afternoon. That was much better. We ordered other mocktails that were better. I would recommend the Sanfransico and the fruit mojito. We decided to eat something at something as well, but the pizza was not that tasty. Most people ordered sandwiches. One of the waitresses was really friendly the other one who brought the food seemed irritated.
So I would only recommend...
