Meat boasts an incredible setting with breathtaking views of the sea, making it a perfect spot for soaking in the atmosphere, even at night. The sound of waves combined with soft background music creates a relaxing ambiance that's hard to beat. It's a place that gets the environment and vibe just right.
However, the food doesn't quite live up to the expectations set by the location. Previous reviewers warned of subpar dishes, and my experience sadly confirmed this. The lasagna was burned and didn't taste fresh, and overwhelmed by an unbalanced tomato sauce, while the mixed meat skewer portion was so small it felt more like a child's serving. The server told me there would be 5 skewers when I was ordering but as he also said "I don't know" I should have gone with my gut instinct because he meant pieces of meat and not skewers. I it was not a language barrier because I speak Spanish and English unless he spoke neither. For the price, there are definitely better dining options in the area.
The service is laid-back—almost too laid-back. While the staff are calm and don't pressure you to keep ordering, their attentiveness leaves much to be desired. We found ourselves having to call them over for everything, which detracted from the overall experience.
Surprisingly, the highlight of the meal wasn't the main courses but the drinks, in particular the coconut milkshake. It was truly delicious and the standout item of the visit. I would come back just for drinks but not food.
Overall, while the view and atmosphere are exceptional, the food and service fall short of what you'd hope for in such a stunning location. Meat is worth visiting for the scenery and a drink or two, but not for a...
Read moreWould not recommend, absolutely awful Menu was overwhelming, I ordered Mussels with Garlic and Chips. Chips were frozen chips, mussels with garlic was literally mussels and chopped up garlic thrown on top. My partner had a Hawaiian pizza, the dough was raw. Our food came quick but it was obvious why. When we finished we wanted to order dessert but it was like the servers were literally avoiding eye contact with us. It took so long for them to come clear our plates that we took the liberty to move our plates to the opposite side of table, even then, no one came over to get them, no one came over to offer us dessert or check in on meal. We were waiting 20 minutes to even ASK for the bill, my partner had to go up to the server himself and ask for bill. Which then never came 15 minutes later as he acted busy even tho he was serving no one else. So we took matters into our own hands and went up to where the bartender was and stood til we got the bill, no way were we going to waste another 15 minutes of our night. We also asked for water for the table (for the two of us) He brought a bottle of 500ml water and ONE cup with ONE cube of ice. The only thing we enjoyed was the cocktails, shame no one came to ask did we want another as we probably would’ve gotten one, along with the dessert. Over all didn’t feel welcome or wanted there and the food didn’t make up for the terrible service. Would not come back for a free 3...
Read moreWalked into this restaurant spontaneously as didn’t have any plans for dinner. Welcomed in straight away, had a great seat with a lovely view.
We only ordered a main dish and soft drinks. Service was very slow especially when it came to our food which we waited over 1 hour for (for a pizza and steak) Tables that arrived after us, that had a starter and main had eaten whilst our food hadn’t still come out.
When I asked the waiter if they had forgotten our order he said to be ‘patient it was coming’. My partner thought the steak was lovely, cooked really well. My pizza was OK.
Service in generally wasn’t great. We had to ask multiple times for more drinks and 3 times for the bill. Only one waiter seemed to be able to talk to the costumers and he was pretty rude.
When paying, he did apologise for the delay of the food. I explained we had waited over 1 hour for two mains whilst people who arrived after us have had two courses and left, his response was he had a large table in and they took priority.
Would not recommend coming here. Many other restaurants with a beautiful view and much better service (especially the restaurant...
