Honestly, I’m not even sure where to begin. To be fair, the food was tasty, and the prices were affordable. However, I’ve never had such a terrible experience at a restaurant before. We went there about a week ago with my family and asked for a table. At first, the server told me to find a spot for myself, which I didn’t mind since he seemed busy.
But as time passed, I started noticing how rude and impolite he was toward us. He ignored us several times and even yelled when we requested an extra dish. Despite my efforts to stay kind and polite, hoping his attitude might change, it only got worse. He refused to serve us at the table and told me to pick up my own dishes, while he served others at their tables. I noticed my tortilla was placed in the microwave, and then after the microwave did its job nature worked to unheat the meal just because the tortilla was sitting in there for ages before I asked the new waiter about it... the result was a cold and flat spanish tortilla... Will I go back? I don't think so, but if you are after the experience then (once again), refer to the callos and have some drinks (those are...
Read morePulpería Celta delivers an authentic experience, enhanced by the warmth and sense of humor of its owner, who creates a welcoming atmosphere. That said, during our visit several of the dishes we requested were unfortunately unavailable, which limited the culinary offering.
What we did try was satisfying: xipirones (baby squid) well prepared, a flavorful and nicely textured Galician-style octopus, fresh razor clams, and the ever-classic pan con tomate, simple yet always enjoyable in Catalonia.
One aspect that could be improved is communication: the menu was only available in Catalan, which made it challenging to fully navigate...
