Chivuo's - Raval — Restaurant in Barcelona

3 great experiences here completely tainted by the last experience.

We turned up to the restaurant and were greeted by a member of staff who was cleared in a bad mood.

He told us to sit at a specific table despite the restaurant being empty, that specific table was dirty and had leftover food and drink on it, also I didn’t really want to sit there.

He passed up the QR code to access the digital menu, I told him that we didn’t have our mobile phones with us on this occasion (they were both home charging). His response was “sorry about that, we have no paper menus”. He couldn’t be bothered to explain the menu to us so instead we left and ate at veggie garden.

I was absolutely disgusted the state of this employees customer service skill, is it really that hard to make customers feels comfortable? Would it have been so difficult for him to make us some recommendations from the menu since we didn’t have our mobile devices?

The employee seemed to be in a bad mood and didnt want to work, he looked devastated when we entered the empty restaurant asif we were disturbing him. He was the overweight employee incase a manger is wondering.

Really bad experience won’t be back, I live in raval too and eat...

If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. First of all, they had me wait for a longer time than a cheesesteak should normally take to cook. People that arrived after me already started eating before my meal even came out. Even, when the meal finally arrived, I noticed the cheesesteak had onions when I specifically asked to make it without the onions. So, they start making the order again for me the second time but guess what? It came out with onions again! I understand first time can be an honest mistake but making the same mistake again is unacceptable when you clearly see the customer is already frustrated with the wrong order the first time. At that point, I had to walk out of the restaurant without eating because they clearly do not care to serve their customers well. Their customer service is the worst I ever had experienced in my...

2 stars for the waiter for accommodating a new burger, nothing else. Raw burger.

I was served up a raw burger, was told thats how they cook it there. I asked if it was minced in the kitchen and he said no it comes in frozen. To have processed meat frozen and then cooked to raw center is high risk. The only mitigating factor to eating raw beef is that you mince it freshly. But these were frozen burgers. Frozen chicken tenders too. Ok they might cut their own fries, but sauces are nothing special. They had no beer at all and as you sit an eat by the window 5-6 delivery drivers just stand there looking in at you.

Such a shame this was my last meal in barcelona.
