Second visit: went on a Friday evening with two adults and two girls. All had to pay full price. The owner refused to serve us tap water even though I showed her an article citing the law for free water in Barcelona. She was rude and didn't seem to care about the law. On this visit none of the food was excellent, some of the food was good, but most of the food was mediocre and we had serious questions about how long some of the plates had been out there. The chocolate cake I got was stale and felt like it was several days old... Which is okay for cake, but could be a serious issue with shrimp or any of the other plates with meat they serve. Also, it felt like they would just put random things out there, like pistachios, pizza (looked disgusting), chicken nuggets, a pack of yogurt, etc. after two visits, I've had enough. Would not recommend.
First experience: Great experience eating conveyor belt sushi. Most of the food was good. Some of the food was excellent and some of the food was mediocre, but overall, great experience...
Read moreI have enjoyed my meals in this restaurant. Paid about 40 euros for two persons. The dishes consist of small portions. You get a table for four. You may eat as much as you like.
I have been there twice. And both times I have left the place satisfied. While exiting the place I have told ‘thank you’ on both occasions, for the quality and quantity of food. I cannot say the same for the variety of the dishes.
I have also noticed that there are very few people working in the restaurant Kaitensushi. I guess it is a family business.
If you want to try Eastern Meals and want quantity, this is a good deal in the centre of Barcelona. Although I warn you that extra coffee or tea or even water will cost you half a fortune. So make sure you have what you get inside the menu if you don’t want to get out of there completely broke.
If someone invited me there again I would accept the invitation with a big smile in my face as I...
Read moreWouldn’t even rate it one star…cutting frozen cake at the door of entry. Sushi out on display…walked in and service was terrible. No one speak to you, told you to just sit down and no one explained anything. Thinking we could order a 8 piece sushi. Was with a friend and she was still looking and thinking and the lady took the chopsticks away as if only one person was eating. I only got 2 piece that was on the display and a coke. We left because felt very uncomfortable and didn’t like the atmosphere. Went to pay and she charged 17€ (buffet price) and I said not paying when all I got was a coke and 2 piece sushi. 5.80€ for that. Pity we had to speak Spanish for them to understand if you don’t speak it they don’t understand...
