Musiu was an okay experience. When we arrived there is a sign that welcomes you that says to wait outside but with no one available to greet you or at the very least acknowledge you. We waited outside for about 10 minutes and saw that the wait staff inside saw us waiting but they did not acknowledge us at all to at least give us an estimate of how long the wait time would be. Instead we were left to awkwardly wait in front of the people dining outside looking around aimlessly. My husband decided to go in to inquire about getting seated since we had been waiting and saw that tables inside were empty or to at least make sure they at least acknowledged us, but one of the waiters the decided to seat us with contempt and indifference.
After getting seated we waited for about 20-25 minutes for service and the wait staff purposely serviced other customers that had arrived after us. They also got their food before us. I completely understand that sometimes you are short staffed and get slammed with a party of customers but not greeting or acknowledging someone then sharing your complete indifference to someone you're serving to just leaves a bad taste on the customer. Regarding the food, the profile was okay. We really enjoyed the foccacia bread but the pasta was average, felt like it was made rushed in the kitchen, lacked appropriate seasoning, and the ingredients weren't necessarily fresh, per what my husband noted in the bolognese he had. The cocktails were a little heavier on the liquor side which is okay for what you're paying for. We didn't try any of the pizzas so I can't comment on that.
All in all, I would say it's an okay restaurant to try out if you're in the immediate area. Just beware of some service related differences if you're otherwise used to a different kind of...
Read moreI recently visited Musiu after reading many positive reviews, and while the restaurant had a nice ambiance and the server was very friendly, my experience was mixed.
The atmosphere was pleasant, and the service was attentive, which I appreciated. However, I want to caution future diners about the food. I love spicy dishes, but when the menu says that the pasta is spicy, it is truly very spicy—perhaps even too much for pasta.
Additionally, unlike in the U.S., water is not free, so keep that in mind when ordering.
Unfortunately, my boyfriend and I experienced food poisoning after our meal. We couldn’t eat properly for 3-4 days afterward, which was incredibly disappointing. I can't pinpoint which dish caused it, but it's something to be aware of if you decide to dine there.
Overall, while there were some positives, my experience was overshadowed by the food-related issues. Proceed with caution if you choose to...
Read moreVery rude servers. They didn’t want to serve me and they forced me to stay outside even though there was free places that were not reserved inside and customers leaved in front of me. After they accepted to put me inside they changed their mind and they asked me to turn back outside, neglecting the heavy big bag I have to move each time. No queue or people waiting outside. All of this because I was alone. Another table was freed but they always insisted to put me outside. By the way there was a woman sitting alone inside, but it seems to be that they don’t treat all people the same way. From a communicating point of view, they are very impolite as they stopped me many times while I was talking and they don’t even listen to me. I don’t recommend this place at all.
Another thing: it’s mentioned that they close at 11 pm but they didn’t accept me at 10:25 pm, tellimg me that they close in...
