This is a great little tapas spot in Barcelona. In a very convenient location but easy to miss off the street. It’s a bit pricey but worth it. Service: Quick service but the waiters and waitresses aren’t the happiest. It gets very busy and there’s not a lot of staff. Food: The food is great. All of the dishes I ordered were tasty and fresh. Spicy potatoes - one of the best potatas bravos I’ve had in Barcelona Chicken wings with kimchi - this is chicken done to perfection. No bones, just tender soft baked chicken with a mild spicy flavor Ham and cheese with truffle bikini - just delicious Mini Burger with foie gras - tiny serve but great taste Had and cheese croquet - super tasty Sangria with cava was ok. It’s done with citrus fruit so much lighter than your red or white sangria. All of the food is in small servings. Atmosphere: Very small place and gets very busy. It’s nice to sit at the bar and watch the chef cook the food. I love the fact that you need to walk down a flight of stairs to get to the restaurant. It’s slightly hidden from the street and easy to miss.

Not terrible in any way, but we found it overpriced for such a highly recommend tapas venue in Barcelona. The menu has a variety of tapas but everything was quite heavy, fried and oily. That works for some but not for all. We enjoyed the bombas (though at €3.50pp we thought that was VERY pricey) and the ham, cheese and truffle toasted sandwich- simple yet tasty. We quite enjoyed the fried anchovies, but serving size could’ve been bigger. The patatas bravas were average. Wine was an ok price... pushing the top end for an average bottle at €24. Staff were friendly and attentive without being pushy. We did not book, not sure if this is indeed an option, but arrived early and sat outside. The line just appeared to get longer and longer while we were there. Definitely get there early and book if you’re desperate to get a table. Total meal was €80 and most guests could’ve eaten more. Again, all in all not an awful experience, we just think there’s just better quality for less cost in Barcelona especially when this place is supposed to be one of the best tapas bars.

First of all I want to make it clear that I didn’t go lower in the reviews simply because I can’t. Secondly I don’t usually write reviews but I felt it was necessary to warn any potential customers to STAY OUT. I spent 26,6€ and I can confidently say that I would rather spend 100€ on McDonald’s. The food was inedible, I ordered the plate of “assorted sausages” and what came was a cutting board the size of my hand with 4 types of cold cuts one of which made my friend almost vomit because it tastes like old carpet, the other ones were nauseating and I couldn’t for the life of me finish my dish not because I was full but because I was gagging just looking at the table. I also ordered a side of fries, what came was a bowl of reheated, soggy and mushy potatoes drowned in sauce, the taste wasn’t that bad in the start but the sauce was so overpowering and there was so much of it that I also couldn’t eat it, if I wanted a bowl of sauce I would have ordered a bowl of sauce. The one thing that Tapas 24 does “well” is their croquettas de pollo and still they are nothing amazing, they are bland and obviously store-bought but they were by far the best thing in that horrendous place. Now let’s review the concept of eating tapas, when you go to a tapas restaurant you expect little quantity and low price per dish so can order a lot of them and try them out but no, in Tapas 24 you get all the price with none of the quality or size, the portions are absurdly small and the prices are higher than Snoop dog on 4/20, why? No idea I think that Tapas 24 is a sadistic play not only on the concept of eating tapas but also on the concept of dining out all together. By far but really really far the worst gastronomic experience I have ever had, and I’m not even talking relative to pricing I am saying that it was the worst food I have ever been served and probably ever eaten, but that’s if you consider it food. Now let’s talk about the service and ambiance, when you go to a restaurant you expect a nice environment to eat with your friends and to at least be treated with the basics of human respect and dignity but once again Tapas 24 didn’t correspond to the bare minimum of what is meant to be called service, when we got there we asked for a table outside and the maìtre die growled at us, not because of a language barrier since we speak Spanish, it was pure rudeness and unkindness. And you might be thinking that this is a joke or I’m exaggerating but think about how long it took me to write this review, I invested more time in this than I wasted at that god forsaken place, for you sake don’t ever think about going there.

PS: I got food poisoning, and it probably tastes better...

Not worth the money, and service was terrible. Was told we would be seated within two minutes, and stood outside waiting for another fifteen minutes. Multiple waiters walked past us and made no effort to guide us to our seats or even invite us inside the restaurant to wait.

Even once seated, nobody came by to take down our orders The waitress who seated us and assured us she would be back to take our orders could be seen very clearly scrolling through her phone in the kitchen.

We ordered three dishes in total, and two glasses of sangria each. The broken eggs with sobrassada was decent but nothing special. There are definitely better options around the area. The bikini is very good! But the portions are minuscule for €12.

Please beware: the prawns with garlic were TERRIBLE. Firstly, they weren’t even that prawns, they were tiny shrimp with barely any meat to chew. They were also completely tasteless. No garlic flavour, not even salt and pepper to taste. The butter at the bottom of the dish was so heavily diluted with water that it was basically like eating bland boiled shrimp. Absolutely do not order.

There are much better restaurants in the general vicinity. Don’t settle for this one based on recent reviews. The last time we visited 10 years ago the food was fantastic, sadly this is no...

I’ve been coming to Tapas 24 for years and always considered it one of my favorite spots in Barcelona. Unfortunately, after my most recent visit, I left completely disappointed.

We arrived around 2:30 PM and were told by a server that we couldn’t be seated without a reservation. The way he said it came off as rude and dismissive. So we stepped away and, surprisingly, were able to make a reservation for 2:45 PM just 15 minutes later. When we came back, the same server insisted it wasn’t possible until another staff member checked the system and confirmed we were in fact on the list. Only then did he seat us, and from there the service continued to be cold and unwelcoming.

It took forever to get menus, and it felt like we were being ignored. What made the experience worse was seeing another couple walk up and get seated right next to us without a reservation.

I’ve recommended Tapas 24 to so many friends and family over the years, and I’ve always looked forward to coming back when in Barcelona. But after this visit, I’m not sure I can say the same. It’s disappointing to see a place that used to feel special lose its...
