I am vegetarian and was excited to see what appeared to be a restaurant serving fresh and healthy food. Something went really wrong here. I opted for a pesto pasta whereas my companion ordered a raw tuna salad (I don’t know the correct term for raw tuna other than ewww). We were also hoping for some chips with a side of Mayo. The server had an odd expression when we asked for the chips (which I now know meant “maybe don’t”. We also ordered fizzy water and some type of fizzy berry fermented beverage. The food arrived relatively quickly. My pasta portion was small, though nicely presented. It was GF and I do not know what it was before it was pasta, but it would have been better had it stayed in its original form. It was rubbery, yet crisp. A very un-pasta like texture. I forged on as I was famished and it was rather expensive. The “chips” arrived and looked in sad shape. They were lightly seasoned and had the consistency of cardboard. Apparently nothing is fried here, and I would guess, very little oil used. We asked for a side of Mayo in hopes the Mayo would redeem the wrongness before us, but the Mayo was not Mayo. I don’t know what it was. Runny, maybe tahini and blended cashews? My companion proceeded to pick at her salad, avoiding the mutilated bits of tuna. They appear to have been cut with a serrated blade, leaving them to look like carnage. At no time did anyone ever come by to see if we might want something else to drink, check on our status, etc. I did observe that those around us had ordered pizza-perhaps a better choice. We walked out of there with a hefty bill for 40€ and far from sated, shaking our heads, baffled at what had...
Read moreMy sister found this place and we went to dinner on Thursday 17 October. My falafel burger was excellent and came with baked fries both sweet potato AND potato. I’ve been here 6 more times as I am one of those on a strict dietary program and I find this place to be absolutely wonderful. The serving staff are excellent and so accommodating with my limited Spanish language (but I keep trying!). Items I’ve ordered… chia pudding breakfast bowl EXCELLENT, another falafel burger STILL EXCELLENT, classic brunch (that included a strawberry/banana smoothie PERFECT, açaí breakfast bowl EXCELLENT, almendrado donaked YUM, and Rooibos tea), vegan salted caramel bar HEAVEN, blueberry bomb donaked OMG, and the veggie pizza (crust is made from quinoa - YUM YUM). I get that this restaurant is not for everybody. If you have a sweet tooth, the “sweets” will not be sweet enough for you. If you are looking for a regular pizza crust, quinoa won’t be a good replacement for you. And so on. But for ME… I already feel like a regular at this establishment. AND they always greet me with a smile and an “Hola!” Mi lugar...
Read moreIt’s a nice restaurant to sit in and aesthetically, but the food was a big flop for us. We had the “Salmon, Egg, Avocado pancakes” the combination of these items (salmon eggs and avocado) is always a successful one, but paired with super sweet pancakes was an immediate stomach ache! Try to cut down on the sweetness of the pancakes (even if they were banana base). We also had the “Sandwich Holandes” which had chicken, eggs, tomato, holandes sauce and potato sticks on the side. First, the potatos were raw, literally i crunched into it! If you’re anti fry, put them in the oven, or even boil them! On the other hand the sandwich was a disaster, chicken didn’t even have salt or pepper on it, beside the fact that it was a spit quantity in the sandwich (which due to the taste was a blessing) and i wont even indulge with the remaining ingredients. Service wise, they were all nice, no one speaks english and has eyes rolling when asking questions, but I understand the language is not something that is easily manageable. Lastly we also got the carrot cake, which was amazing, and is the only reason why I’m giving 2...
