I’ve been coming here since they first opened. I enjoy the view, the cafe setting and convenient while my kids have some brunch and I can stay at the cafe. The reason I’m giving two stars is because of the service. I’ve been attended by one guy who’s tall and wears glasses I can’t quite remember his name if it’s Jaume (I could be wrong with the name) Anyway he’s usually inside behind the counter. He’s always been nice and helpful. However, last Wednesday while I had brunch with my kids, the floor manager (she had glasses and long curly brown hair) was attentive at first. Then when she started bringing out the food, there was always something missing (utensils, napkin etc) And so I had to call her maybe three times. And unfortunately she rolled her eyes on me for calling her again despite the fact, it wasn’t my fault they had missed something to serve with our food. It was unpleasant. It’s my observation as well since they opened that, when they ask for orders they wanna feel like they’re moving fast but they’re just rushing. It’s not a quick and efficient service. It’s just filled with missed orders and items. Lastly, the prices are ok if only they didn’t serve such a small amount of butter with the continental set. They used to serve Echire French butter but now serves a generic one, sliced into this tiny piece for the two baguettes which obviously isn’t enough then charge 1€ for another small portion of butter. I guess I shouldn’t expect so much that they’re anything like a cafe in France. They wouldn’t be stingy...
Read moreThe service here is a major letdown. We arrived and asked the server for a table and were told to wait indefinitely. The server went past us many times and still didn't direct us to a table. Another server noticed and handed us menus and directed us to one of the many free tables (this happened to another couple within the time we were there). We ordered a Vanilla Ice coffee and Nonna Belluci coffee which tasted more like a milkshake rather than an iced coffee - both were enjoyable, but again the service was very poor and took about 20-25 minutes to arrive. We ordered the spicy chicken burger w/ fries and the French toast, all extremely average. The waitress brought the meals and informed me there is no more whipped cream for the French toast which I knew would be the case when ordering, however when I asked if there could be any other potential substitutes, she said she would ask the kitchen but never came back. Overall, we had interactions with each of the 3 waitresses, and all seemed like they either hated being there or hated serving us. Location of the restaurant is nice, but the service and quality could definitely...
Read moreWe had an unpleasant experience and unfortunately this has happend now several times since we go there often due to the nice playground for the kids right by the restaurant.. The level of rudeness displayed by one of the waitresses was very shocking. Even when I spoke to the manager about the issue, their response was equally immature and disrespectful.
To add to the disappointment, it took the staff nearly an hour to even acknowledge our presence at a table. Several times I tried to order even walking inside but no one (out of like 6 waitresses would acknowledge us not even a “hello one second please”) When they finally did, they rudely asked us to move to another table because the one we were seated at was supposedly reserved. It was raining outside, and the terrace was nearly 50% empty, making their request seem unnecessary and unwarranted.
It's such a shame because the location of the restaurant is fantastic, and the food served is good. However, the owner should look into who works for them and invest in hiring qualified individuals who understand the importance of good...
