Do not bother with this place!
Yes, the space is beautiful, yes, the menu ‘looks’ decent.
It was fairly empty when I went, so I would have hoped for better service, and a touch of interest paid to ensuring my overpriced rib was properly prepared. It was not even close.
My rib was grossly undercooked, the potatoes that they said the rib did not come with, that I didn’t order, then arrived, then they charged me extra for, and they were also under cooked and not even seasoned.
The server disappeared half way through my meal, so I went to settle my bill at the bar on my own. Not once during my meal did any of the multiple servers walking around ask me if I needed anything, how my meal was… nothing.
Another gentleman came in from where he had been seated on the terrace to order his own drinks and food, and then proceeded to carry them out to his table his own, he wasn’t even offered a tray, or to have staff carry them out for him.
Kind of embarrassing service and quality for a place that seemed to be repeatedly reviewed as a hot spot - though I have been hearing this of late regarding several of the Puro establishments.
This experience was definitely enough to convince me not to bother with their beach clubs, as they are probably even worse. 150+€ for a beach hammock. Haha! To serve your self and eat C-grade food. Hmmm.
Very, very disappointing and a true waste of money, on what was supposed to be a nice...
Read moreIt's a pretty restaurant with a cute atmosphere. Unfortunately the rest wasn't as great as I expected. The service was a bit clumsy and disorganised, a bunch of waitress seemed lost but overall friendly. The food was uneatable tho. We ordered 4 plates and only two were '''acceptable''' (pictures), everything was just too full of spices or/and pepper, I couldn't understand the flavour of the real ingredients cause covered tragically by the rest. We took the octopus as final dish and not gonna lie, I was expecting a lot, AT LEAST, for the 40€ spent. I didn't even make a photo. It's not about the quantity or the quality, the octopus was again ruined by the spices used while prepared and overcooked, we both couldn't even finish it. In that moment I felt really sorry for the octopus that died and ended up being cooked like this. The vegetables as well, cooked perfectly, but the spices ruined everything. To finish my review; the prices are too high for the small amount of food served (that someone would not mind much if it was at least good). I hope it was a mistake of that day, otherwise I don't understand the good reviews...
Read moreWe had the pleasure of dining at Beatnik on Thursday night, and while the rave reviews set our expectations high, there was still a lot to appreciate! First off, I have to say that the service was truly outstanding. Our waiter made us feel so welcome, and it brightened our evening right from the start.
We began with the shrimp starter, which was fantastic, and that really built our excitement for the main courses. While some of the dishes were lovely, we found that a few could have used a bit more flavor. For instance, the salmon with tagliatelle was pleasant but felt rather ordinary, and the gnocchi with truffles didn’t have the robust flavor we were hoping for. The risotto stood out of all the mains, though it didn’t completely blow us away, especially given the price.
That said, the ambiance, interior design, and overall atmosphere of Beatnik truly shine. Although, If you’re visiting Mallorca and seeking an extraordinary dining experience, I’d suggest exploring other options. There’s definitely potential here, and we hope they can elevate their flavors...
