If you want authentic, this is the place to go in cala major. Always full of locals and you can understand why, it’s simple food, comforting service, fair prices and a nice location by the road (always something to look at!)
Now, I have been here once before where I had the seafood paella and I can easily say that it is stunning, super rich in flavor and a fair price, 11/10 easily. Today on the other hand I had the “menú especial” where I chose the croquettes and the schnitzel with pepper sauce. The croquettes were, sadly, very bland. Nice crunch on the outside but way too much béchamel, very weak flavor of the ham. The schnitzel was a lot better than the croquettes, I actually saw the chef breading the schnitzel so I knew it was homemade, thin and crispy and not oily at all, really enjoyed that. The fries were alright, but the pepper sauce had no flavour whatsoever, without it would have been just fine. Either which way, the waiter was quick and helpful, can’t ask for much more so I was content. It’s a very slow environment, nice to relax and have an easy lunch here and I will definitely come back, I’m super eager to try the mixed tapas plate and eat the paella again!

Read moreWent eating here on 18/04, server was not helpful wanted us out. Ordered a 500gr T bone steak. Order came beef tasted off but can happen. After being close to finishing I turned the steak around and an awful stench came from the underside of the steak smelled very rotten. I asked a server to come over to explain, and all of the sudden no one could speak English anymore after that the boss came and couldn't speak any English either. So I knew I got ripped off. We went to pay and they took the steak out of the bill so they knew something was wrong with it. When we went to pay we also saw they stored all their meat on top of the counter not cooled or anything. To close it off they serve bad quality meat, no hygiene. But I got a rotten steak for free. Normally I never leave a review but after this I want to warn...
Read moreCosy, nice little place. Perfect to munch on some tapas after the beach. The value for money here is unreal. The deal for tapas here is not to be skipped. We ordered patatas bravas, green peppers, fried squid, croquettes and meatballs. To be quite honest the portions are big and we were full after the tapas but decided to order our first ever paella. We ordered the paella with seafood and meat. It was really nice but personally the meat was questionable, like the spine part of the meat. Looking back I would settle for the seafood paella only. Overall it was nice and the portion was huge, we ended up taking a box with leftovers with us. We payed less than €50 for everything with drinks included. Service was lovely to us and had no problems with us ordering in English. Food and prices...
