Ristorante Trattoria Heras — Restaurant in Valencia

My wife and I enjoyed a really excellent lunch there this past Saturday as part of the Valencia ESIL (English Speaking International Lunch) group. We were about 16 in all, and everyone greatly enjoyed the delicious authentic Italian dishes and wines, the extremely attentive service, and the warm ambience of this cozy restaurant. In particular, my wife's CANNALONES DE BOGAVANTE CON GAMBAS Y VERDURITAS, and my SPAGHETTI FRUTTI DI MARE were among the very best seafood pasta dishes we've had in Valencia this year. My only reserve was that a single small red hot pepper made it spicier than my usual liking, but the very fresh, abundant and tasty shellfish well made up for it. Next time, I'll ask for it without the red pepper! But we intend to return to Heras often! Definitely...

Reservamos por Google y al parecer ya no tenían en uso esa aplicación de reservas por lo que a priori no teníamos mesa cuando llegamos. Amablemente "lo solucionó" y nos puso en una mesa en la terraza, que, para ser honestos, muy cómoda no era, puesto que en los platos y las bebidas caía constantemente el polen de los árboles además de que estábamos sentados pegados a las escaleras de la salida de un parking que emanaba un peculiar olor a orín, sin contar el evidente trasiego de personas que subían por allí. Luego... La carta escasa, muy pobre en productos y la calidad de la comida como tal, no era digna de un "auténtico italiano" sin contar el aperitivo, unos Doritos y unas cortezas dignas de la Tramontana... Pedimos una pizza "4 quesos" (con suerte eran 3 y del Mercadona) y unos cannelloni de pollo y foie...(La parte del foie me imagino que sería porque a la carne mechada del pollo le enseñaron de lejos el paté, ya que brillaba por su ausencia...) El servicio fue amable, la chica que atendía en la terraza estuvo pendiente por lo que no tenemos ninguna pega con el personal contratado, eso si, olvidaros de pagar con tarjeta, solo aceptan efectivo o Bizum! En general no recomendaría este restaurante "Italiano". Una pena, porque al parecer el anterior propietario, tenía un servicio y una comida excelente. Visited here as we were staying in an apartment on the same street on a weekend trip to the MotoGP. This is a terrific little authentic Italian trattoria in the middle of Valencia. The manager, who speaks good English, couldn't be more friendly and welcoming, the food is delicious, the wine reasonably priced and the service generally was excellent. Three courses for three with a bottle of wine came to €82. Very happy. Highly...
