Coop Restaurant Interlaken Ost — Restaurant in Interlaken

We were excited to try Coop Interlaken Restaurant but met with unprofessional behaviour from an executive. It was our first time so I approached this lady executive with some questions. She made a face and literally yelled- ‘Yes, what?’ and gave me one word reply with an irritated look as if she is doing me a huge favour. I proceeded to ask her another question and she totally ignored me and walked away. I followed her and repeated my question but she continued to ignore me and carried on with whatever she was doing. My husband and I decided to leave after this humiliating experience. What shocked me more was what happened next. We were waiting for our elevator and I turned around towards the restaurant and saw the same executive having a long interaction with another customer. During our trip to Switzerland, we paid visits to so many Coop supermarket and other outlets and the staff was always smiling and helpful. So, it is important that I point out this incident for the sake of other tourists …so that they don’t go through what we went through. My family was not good at ordering at this restaurant. My sister attempted to ask the woman at the counter in english. But the woman frowned and kept screaming NO ENGLISH as if she was annoyed. I understand that this restaurant first exists for the Swiss people and she must already be tired of explaining to many foreigners how to order, especially Koreans. But Interlaken is a place where many foreigners come. Given that, I think it is the owner's mistake to have such a rude woman as an employee. the food (we ordered salad and desert) are not bad and price are quite reasonable, but the staff is absolutely super disappointing . As we were through away personal waste after dinner and looking for a rubbish bin, a staff stopped us and asked where we are from, and he assumes we are from China and saying this is not China before telling us why he asked so, this is totally a discrimination to Chinese and even we are from Singapore. We don’t think where we are from matters. I am waiting a proper apologise from Coop restaurant...
