Worst food and service I’ve ever experienced – do not go here.
We went to this restaurant in Interlaken and ordered the mixed grill, two garlic naans, and one butter naan. From the moment we walked in, the service was terrible.
It took 10 minutes just to get the menu, and then another 50 minutes for the food to arrive. While we waited, they didn’t even bother to give us plates. We only had spoons and forks in front of us, while people who came after us were being served. Finally, after 45 minutes, they brought us plates—and then the food followed shortly after.
We also had to ask four times for water before someone finally brought it over.
Now, the food. We were expecting chicken tikka, tandoori chicken, kebab, fish, prawn, and lamb for 43 CHF (written in the menu). What we actually got was: • Two pieces of chicken leg/thigh (possibly tandoori) — not cooked properly and the chicken was smelly • Two pieces that might have been chicken tikka (no way to tell because both tasted the same—bland and completely flavorless) • Prawn (I didn’t even try it because of the smell) • Few pieces of fish that had no seasoning at all • No kebab • No lamb—until we asked, and it came 15 minutes later
When the lamb finally arrived, it was just four tiny boneless dry pieces, hard to chew, and smelled off. Honestly, the whole platter was just sad. There was no salt, no spices, and everything tasted the same—completely bland. Even the garlic naan (7 CHF each) had zero garlic flavor. Just plain bread, really.
We paid 73 CHF for this, and I left feeling frustrated, disappointed, and honestly concerned about the food hygiene. I’ve never had such a bad experience at a restaurant in my life. Avoid this place—not worth your time or your money.
PS I have attached the picture of the “Mixed...

Where do I even begin? My partner and I were looking for a break from Swiss fondue during our trip to Interlaken and stumbled upon this incredible restaurant. It was, without a doubt, one of the best dining experiences of our entire vacation.
From the moment we walked in, the aroma of spices was intoxicating. The ambiance is warm and inviting, with beautiful decor that transports you straight to India, all while offering stunning views of the mountains through the windows—a perfect fusion of two beautiful cultures.
We started with the Vegetable Samosas and the Chicken Tikka. The samosas were perfectly crispy and flavourful, and the chicken was so tender and marinated to perfection, it simply melted in our mouths.
For our main course, we had the Butter Chicken and the Lamb Rogan Josh with garlic naan and basmati rice. The Butter Chicken was unbelievably creamy and rich, with a complex, smoky sweetness. The Lamb Rogan Josh was a revelation—the meat was fall-apart tender and the gravy was a masterful blend of spices, aromatic without being overly spicy. The garlic naan was fresh, fluffy, and the perfect vehicle for scooping up every last bit of those incredible sauces.
What truly elevated the experience was the service. The staff were exceptionally friendly, attentive, and genuinely passionate about the food. They offered great recommendations and made us feel so welcome.
In a town known for its adventure and natural beauty, this restaurant is a destination in itself. Don't miss it! It’s the perfect place for a memorable, comforting, and spectacularly delicious meal. We will be dreaming about this food until we can return. Highly,...
