I stayed for three days at this property in July. The apartment was okay and reasonably comfortable. It was right next to the station and a great location. A couple of things were not what we would expect from a 5 star property. We had to move a rather heavy AC every day and move it to the patio to shut the door. We were asked to do this as the water from condenser had to be kept out of the room, and because of this it was rather hot in the night. The kitchen was okay for a lt wt cooking. What makes it 2 star for me is that I have been requesting for an estimate for when I would get my 500$ deposit back. I was not even asking for it be credited back to me immediately, I was just asking for an update. After couple of email reminders I still don't have a response and iam not even sure anymore if I'll get my deposit back. Definitely not something that I would expect from a 5 star property. Happy to rate it higher if someone would at least respond back to me
Edits after response from the owner: Thanks for the response. I did receive the deposit. But please note that my lower rating was less due to my anxiety to receive the deposit, but rather the disappointing customer experience. It should not have taken more than a couple of secs to respond to my multiple emails with "We are working on it. Will get back to you in N days". I absolutely received no response. Also, I find the response below slightly misleading, even though that may not be your intent. I got the response only after I posted this review and a customer should not be required to post negative reviews in a public forum just to get a response from the staff. That would be a near 1 star customer experience for a 5 star rated property. Hope this is a constructive feedback. Also, I wanted to bring to your attention that before we checked in, I received a rather weird note from the hotel that "The days you are planning to be here is in very high demand. Would you like to cancel at no cancellation cost to you". I almost felt unwelcome and I had to exchange emails (and I also ended up calling your property at Montreux as I did not receive a response and no one answered the phone at interlaken property) just to re confirm the reservation I had already paid for. State of the art design and features, full kitchen, laundry, etc. We really enjoyed a stay of a week here as a base of operations while on holiday. The kicker to be aware of is the service (lack of). If you can catch someone in the office, it’s beyond perfect. They all are multi-lingual and very helpful. But - if you can’t get a person - you won’t get service. Examples: 1. Multiple emails went unanswered over the course of a few weeks up to the stay. Requires you staying on top of them for questions. 2. You will get told to use Whatsapp and given a number for them. This just doesn’t work - no answer - tried many times during the stay; verified the number was correct. 3. You’ll get an email with a chat link - this also doesn’t work. Left many questions- all unanswered. 4. Housekeepers are spotty at best - we got 3 services for a week stay.
Again - if you’re not looking for a lot of service, it’s no problem. But if you are looking for a staffed desk or a number to call - yeah, none of that is happening here. In our elevator, several other guests on many occasions brought up on multiple days “i guess there is no service in this beautiful place” - we all laughed because it’s so true!! Now if you get a person in the office- zero issues, amazing!! But the business model is clearly low-cost / minimal staffing hours in the main office. Which CAN be fine, but you just need to know about it going in. I’m actually still dealing with them on email for an order of flowers that I purchased when booking… and you guessed it - they never came. Realized it after checkout, and am on email #5 trying to get a simple refund of a few CHF for a service I paid for and didn’t receive…. It’s like pulling teeth with this place.
