10' dieci Gelati & Cafe Lucerne — Restaurant in Lucerne

The gelato was fine but that’s not the issue I had. My wife and I went to an atm, pulled out 50CHF and then walked to get some ice cream here. We order, get out ice cream, give the girl behind the counter the 50 CHF bill we just got and she gives us the change. We turn around and count the change and realized she only gave us 13 dollars back when we only ordered two small cups. So she was short 30 CHF. A customer had come right after us so we waited for her to finish with them, two Indian men, and then we approached her and told her the mistake she made. She looked at us like we were crazy and said she “didn’t remember us”. It had literally been one minute and we never left the front of the store so how in the F do you not remember us. She talks to the two other girls there and they too look at us like we’re crazy. She stares at the register for a minute and says we have to come back tomorrow so she can see if she made a mistake. Really? REALLY?? We aren’t driving all the way back to Lucerne tomorrow morning because you can’t do simple math. Although I’m pretty sure this was a ploy and they steal from foreign customers this way. This put a complete damper on our day and we just left Lucerne right away realizing it’s just a city of thieves. Whoever owns this store needs to do something about the people they employ because this is unacceptable. I will be researching if there is a Better Business Bureau equivalent in Switzerland and if there is this store will be reported. Beware! And make sure you count your change before you walk away so they can’t claim they “forgot who you are” a...

I went to the counter and ordered the grande sized gelato, the largest in the house, and the girl working looked very confused at me. I thought maybe i was pronouncing it wrong so i pointed at the example size on the wall and she laughed very hard. Through the tears in her eyes she explained that she never had any one person order that large of a size before. After she got the snow shovel from the back of the shop she proceeded to shovel 5 flavors into the cavernous container. Just as she was finishing i saw the "cash only" sign, which sent me into a panic as i had no cash to pay for this monstrousity i had had this innocent girl construct for me. I left my fiance as collateral and ran to the nearest atm. When i got back i paid for my gelato and brought it across the way to the tables near the water. I ate the entire thing in one sitting, and when i finished i dropped my spoon "mic drop" style into the garbage while staring the worker down. Overall very good gelato and a...

One of the nicer dessert shops here in Lucerne, with great views of the chapel bridge too!

🍦 the chocolate ice cream was fabulous, with a thick chocolate note to it and doesn’t really melt very fast!

🍰 tiramisu was good too, as good as the ones we make (which we love), and better because the heavy cream used didn’t overpower the entire coffee taste
