Einhorn — Restaurant in Lucerne

The first day as a tourist in Luzern, I spontaneously decided to stop to eat in this restaurant located among the beautiful streets in the center of Luzern. I can say that at first the waiters were a little agitated and not very friendly... Instead, I understood that they were very busy and I I still decided to stay.👀👀Then was come Emiliano and he was very kind and available. I chose a portion of pasta (homemade) with tartufo and my colleague fish with potatoes.... EXCEPTIONAL! It's hard to find an Italian restaurant in Switzerland where the chefs can cook like in Italy☝🏻☝🏻the ardente pasta with burro and tartufo🤤the very juicy salmon together with natural potatoes baked in the oven with rosemary🥰. I saw that many customers also ordered pizza, I can say that it looks very good👀…And then the dessert tiramisu (home made)💯💯💯💯💯I'm sure that next time I will try pizza as well. We came in early evening like quarter past 5, ordered a speciality of the house the melanzane parmigiana and one pizza, a water and two glasses of wine. It took a really long time before food came, but I thought it was because of the melanzane We asked for some bread in between. The waiter serving us was very unfriendly. At 5.50 the melanzane came out, without any garnish on the plate. It’s not the best melanzane I have eaten. It took another full five minutes for the pizza to be served. Our water and wine was finished long before the food came and the waiter never once asked us if we wanted another glass. The arrogant incapable ‘manager’ asked in passing if we were enjoying our food and after I told him I wasn’t happy, all he said was sorry. Only the older Italian waiter at the end saved the evening by being charming and bringing us a dessert on the house. This is not a cheap restaurant and poor service is no excuse no matter what. Our travel guide recommended the food which was good. The service however was bizarre and disappointing. We walked in and the hostess from across the room told us to go upstairs. We went upstairs and was seated. Waited for 5 minutes and a server came over and gruffly asked if we had ordered. We said no we hadn’t spoke to anyone. He brought menus, we ordered, he delivered our drinks and food and we never saw him again. He did however serve the two tables on either side of us, joking with the patrons, and refilling drinks. We were never asked how our food was, if we wanted another drink, dessert, radio silence. The host cleared our plates and we waited for another 15-20 minutes then got up and asked for our bill at the bar. It was the weirdest restaurant experience...
