I CANNOT SAY ENOUGH about this pub!!! I traveled to Lucerne to meet a friend from the states for her birthday trip, but due to flight issues she arrived a day later than me. I am from the states as well but live in Ireland and so if I'm having travel issues or I'm alone I will always try to find an Irish pub, as they are almost always welcoming and homey. This pub was absolutely no exception. From the minute I walked through the door I absolutely loved it. It is an AUTHENTIC Irish pub and not one of those cheesy, commercialized ones you find in so many countries. The staff is amazing, the Guinness is good, and the locals and tourists alike are all friendly and relaxed. It is a quiet, unassuming pub a few minutes from the hustle and bustle of town, and I loved it so much that I went there both nights I was in Lucerne. Read moreIf you are not a local and are visiting. DO NOT go here!!! Last night I went here with a friend and the bartender overcharged me for 2 Guinness Beers. The usually price is about CHF 10 but he charges me CHF 15 each!! I couldn’t believe they charged me 30 CHF for 2 beers!
I went to a nicer bar and they mentioned that I basically got ripped.
Who knew Swiss locals at this bar treated their tourist this way. They should be completely ashamed. And the bartender the audacity to ask me if I wanted another round!
