As a couple we went here for a 4-course Christmas Eve dinner where we had to reserve in advance. Upon arrival we were friendly greeted and they offer to put our jackets away. We were presented with the menu and upon ordering the aperitif this was removed from the table with a remark that they will explain every dish served. First dish they didn’t explain what the dish consisted off and they served it before confirming which wine bottle we would like to pair with the dishes. In the menu it said it will have truffle, which in the end was shredded to bits instead of shaved and hence lost all of its flavor. Second dish we asked them to explain and the waiter didn’t know what they were serving and came back with the menu instead of an explanation. Third dish which was supposed to be a sirloin was cold, full of muscle and because of that was chewy. We were offered another slice but we were not comfortable and didn’t like it at all. Dessert was 2 pieces of to our taste stale bread and Chantilly cream which was quite underwhelming. All in all we felt like it was overpriced, underwhelming and tasteless which is totally not a representation of a Christmas menu. What completely threw us off was that after payment and upon leaving we were directed to closet full of jackets where we had to look and search for our jackets ourself, which for us is unacceptable, if you offer to take our jackets you should also know where you stored them and return them as is, this is to our experience and opinion the opposite of customer service and experience and to some extend reflects poorly not only on the restaurant but also on the affiliated hotel Rex which stands for quality and customer service. We will not go back and deeply regret having Christmas dinner here.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Stockholm by Rex, and it was truly an exceptional experience. From the moment I sat down near the open flame grill, I knew this meal would be special. Watching the chef prepare my five-course meal right in front of me was captivating and added a unique personal touch to the evening. The meal started with fresh sourdough bread and chicken liver pâté, a delightful introduction that set the tone for what was to come. The 60-day dry-aged steak tartare was packed with rich flavor and beautifully textured. Next, I was served mozzarella with anchovies, and despite having always disliked anchovies, I was convinced to try them—and I loved them! The bone marrow paired with toasted homemade bread was another indulgent highlight. For the main course, I hand-selected a 60-day dry-aged ribeye, cooked perfectly rare. The tenderness and depth of flavor were simply outstanding. The wine pairing recommended by the staff was flawless, perfectly complementing each dish. To finish, the chocolate mousse was a decadent treat, made even better by the delicate sea salt crisp on top. Throughout the meal, the chef was interactive and engaging, explaining each course and making the entire experience feel personal and memorable. Stockholm by Rex delivered one of the most extraordinary dining experiences of my life, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a truly immersive culinary journey!

If you come here for the wine or drinks you are in the right place as they are cheap for the standard of Switzerland and nice. They also have a grill, where very nice pieces of meat are prepared these are delicious but sometimes a scam. They tried to scam me and my family as we ordered the chateau briand which is commonly known as large piece of meat of at least 400 grams. But when the plates arrived it did not even have more than 70 grams on it, while we paid the full price of 55 CHF per person. We asked about it and immediately the girl who was serving us came up with the ridiculous answer of it being served in 2 parts, and that the other was on its way. Another waitress checked up on us and was really uncomfortable with the situation of us asking about the second serving as we finished the first already. When we were ready for our second serving it was like ordering a whole new meal, asking about side dishes and new drinks. The sides were newly made and the meat to, we think that it is scam as people who would not have asked about the other part of the chateau briand only got a small piece of meat served while paying full price. The atmosphere was nice until we got our meal and they have a nice balkony with good views from one side. Overall it could have been nice if they did not try to serve us half meals and scam us, DONT GO HERE! First foto is second serving and second the prices for the chateau briand.
