Our server was lovely and the ambience was perfect but unfortunately I can’t recommend this place. The wines by the glass were modest in range and most had some funk, leaving few options of you aren’t into the natural wine trend and don’t want a bottle. The food was massively overpriced even for zermatt and, ironically given the natural wine focus, few veggie options other than cheese and a 21 chf sweet potato. 17 chf for 5 tiny oxtail croquettes (good), similar for pork belly (meh), 34 for a modest charcuterie plate (the sausage was house made and very good, the house cured beef was also very good, cheese choices were basic and accompaniments were meh like a random pile of dill and chives and a little bowl of pickled veggies but no fruit/sweet element; 26 got us one double the size at a nice restaurant the previous night that was way better), 38 for dry aged beef tartare (excellent but almost double NYC prices, but I was desperate for protein after skiing all day). The sourdough pizza is really delicious, well portioned and well priced for zermatt. It was a wonderful cozy atmosphere, dimly lit for a romantic evening.
