Well, I like the atmosphere and the location of this place but a bit disappointed with the quality of the sweet and drink versus its prices. Also, the service wasn’t ok. The staff super busy which is understandable. It doesn’t make sense with the order and payment systems. You order the sweet inside the shop and you pay and then you take your sweet to your table yourself. But for the drink, the staff will take the order from you later and pay again at your table. The worst experience for me was I queued up to order the sweet and there were some people before me. When my turn came, there was no one ready to take my order. The staff who stood there she was busy with her orders and asked me to wait. Ok, I showed my annoyance through my face expression and then I saw another lady was getting ready with her coverall before taking the order so I standby to wait until she’s ready. Somehow, the one who said to me to wait said to the one who was getting ready that “sie ist kann nicht warten, hah!“ i was so surprised but didn’t say a word, I also didn’t say that I understood what she said in German about me. I just ordered and took my sweet and sat outside with my husband. To be honest, wasn’t in the mood to finish even I paid up already. Just visited here for breakfast, I asked what was inside a roll I was told by the server it’s ham. I brought the roll then when I bit into it the roll was rock hard and there was sauce inside it. I went to ask if I could kindly change it as the bread is too hard for my teeth and there is sauce inside it which I would not have ordered if I had been told was inside it. They point blank refused to help me, they did not change the sandwich I was not offered a refund or nothing. I explained I am from the UK I specifically asked what was inside the sandwich and was told the wrong information which is not my fault. Very bad customer service, no kindness or empathy or willingness to help me. Lost out on money and breakfast. Very bad experience would not recommend to anybody. rather average pastries & coffee was not bad, interior was old-fashioned but nothing special. service quality was terrible - waited a good 20 minutes for a server to take our orders, and their attitude was basically impatient and hostile. went to the counter to order the pastries with 3 employees behind the counter with all of them basically avoiding eye contact with me, doing nothing and not wanting to attend to me. asked questions about the pastries as they did not have english translated labels and they answered me in a one-word, deadpan tone. not sure why they’re even working here when all they offer is a ‘i don’t give a shit’ attitude to you. feels like this cafe is taking their past reputation and good location for granted as their overall food & service quality has definitely dropped. truly a...
