Jim & Dad's Taipei — Restaurant in Datong District

This bar is in an excellent location just nearby the historic Dihua Street. The bartender there gave ample tastings of all the beers on tap. The brewer seems to like heavier drinks, so unlike most Taiwan beers, these are mostly over 5%. You'll definitely be able to get a local flavor beer here. My favorite was the red tea flavored beer 臺白鷺紅茶. One of the most interesting tastes I had was the smoked plum beer, a flavor which harkens back to the youthful days of the owner's past. You won't find this flavor in any beer in the States. The first floor of the bar has a few stools and the draft beers with selected bottled beers. The 2nd floor is more of a lounging area, very clean, and relaxing. Good place to go before heading to the nearby Ningxia...

IG: foodie_foxx Hmmm interesting place, who sell very unique variety of draft beers and also bottled beers, by seeing the varieties they have like 20-30 different kinds of beers 🍻. They have 4 different sizes, if ur a person who doesn’t wants to have a full pint but want to have small glasses then they offer u 1 for 140 and 3 for 300. The alcohol level also varies from flavor to flavor. My favorite one was the grandmas lemon cake ale and my girls friends favorite was the the passion fruit IPA, both were around 7.5% alcohol. This place is bit different from other beer places as they quality is also quite good which states the way they brew their beer. Definitely will visit again Bob appetite...

Impressive, affordable, and with a variety of craft beers to choose from near Dadaocheng. I love how they serve Taiwanese craft beers at a very reasonable price, and the taste is quite good compared to the price, especially compared to other smaller craft breweries that are just starting out.

The decoration is cute, and the glasses are nice, with fun designs and cartoons. The only downside is the atmosphere—upstairs seating feels a bit unkempt, like it’s not well-maintained, and there’s no music. The only vibe is the dim lighting.
