Impressive establishment.
The burgers, while not large in the meat department, are of high quality with a nice ratio of toppings for a great blend of flavor.
They bread their fresh-cut boardwalk fries and they are about as close to perfect as you're gonna' get.
Their desserts are fantastic and change constantly.
Their fruit sodas are excellent and full of flavor.
Everything is rich and flavorful.
You can get a sandwich, plus a side of house-made potato chips, plus an additional side (fries, dessert, etc.), plus a bottomless drink, for a very affordable $250NT-$300NT.
Be aware the plate of fries is massive so if there's two of you, you should split an order of fries and split a dessert: you'll be shocked at how much you get for how much you spend.
The only temptation might be that you'll want more than one dessert.
Their order timing could use a little work (i.e. the food doesn't come out at the same time), but they're attentive to their customers and are clearly doing their best to be the best they can be.
They're not much for speaking English, but there's a solid...
While I was ordering on that day, an unpleasant incident occurred. I felt the need to leave feedback. I ordered a set meal that included fries, but if I wanted to switch to truffle fries, there was an additional charge. The server, who had a Chinese accent, did not explain this clearly. So, what I thought would cost $360 ended up being $490. Without confirming, she proceeded to swipe my card. I asked her why the price increased, and she said that truffle fries come at an extra cost, as stated on the menu. I pointed out that shouldn't the bill be clarified before swiping the card? How could they leave customers with doubts and mistrust when settling the bill later? Of course, I mentioned this to her, and she immediately offered to refund the excess amount. This showed that she did not intend to take advantage of anyone, but the issue arose from the lack of confirmation during ordering. That's why I gave a rating of three stars instead of just one. However, with such rough handling, disputes with customers in Taiwan are bound to happen sooner or later. I told her that she should follow the Taiwanese way of presenting the bill clearly before payment, to avoid unpleasant surprises. But her next comment angered me: "It's the service and attitude in Taiwan that lead to the prevalence of difficult customers everywhere in Taiwan." I couldn't help but think, does this lack of distinction between right and wrong come from where? There's no logic, just arguments and fights. It's no wonder there are so many arguments on the streets in China. When I was about to leave, I saw her complaining to her husband, without any reflection on the flaws in their ordering process. In a Taiwan that is continuously raising its standards, it's hard to imagine such behaviour. Even those from the mainland should adapt to local customs, focusing on civilisation and logic, and abandoning the confrontational approach. On a side note, I dined at this restaurant a few years ago, but I never expected such a significant price increase this time. It may be related to inflation, but such a large hike in prices, combined with this kind of service attitude, is...
Read moreThe service here is impeccable. When I arrived the owner(I think) was the only person able to speak English comfortably enough and she came up to me and told me how to order. She was super friendly and informative. She went through the whole menu. She was so nice and ready to answer any questions I had. I felt very welcomed and in turn choose the meal that was right for me and it turned out pretty good. I choose one of the steaks with pasta in black pepper sauce. I also got some French fries on the side. The steak was delicious and the French fries were crispy. I also got one of the pash bottomless drinks, I started off with orange soda and then I was later able to change the flavour. I thought that was...
