玖伍牛肉麵 — Restaurant in Zhongzheng District

I had a large bowl of Hot and Spicy Beef Noodle Soup ($190, all large bowls cost $20 more than small bowls). It’s near for students from Taipei Tech to have lunch here.

The beef cutlets were tender and juicy. The noodles had great texture and tasted delicious and quite spicy with the broth. If you think it’s too spicy, you can fill the iced water and white gourd drink which is unlimited to drink. It’s one of the best beef noodle soup I’d ever had. The price was affordable for most of the students. Overall, it’s a 10 out of 10!

Their noodles and broth aren't very consistent even though it's good overall. They have both soy-based and clear broths. The soy-based one was almost bland on my first visit but second time it was almost too salty. I prefer their clear soup, but it is quite varied - first time I tried it was "beefy" second time it had a heavier herbal medicine tone. Noodle was chewy first time, al dente second time. A deep, beefy broth that highlights their long stewing pot.

I got the half beef and half tendon noodle soup. The beef was so tender and the tendon was the perfect chewiness.

They also have a side bar that they chop up and sauce as a side dish.

The dumplings were both good, the cabbage had a nice crunch and the chives had a nice brightness to them.
