Around Town Coffee — Restaurant in Chiang Mai Province

This guy is the best barista I've had the pleasure of encountering during my stay in Asia (I've been to at least 50 different cafes on my trip). A real pro. He owns the cafe and nailed everything about the establishment. The vibe is relaxed and cozy. The pricing is ridiculously low, it really should be higher for this excellent quality (I told him)! Coffee tastes really, really good, and the latte art is... well, see for yourself in the pics. Most importantly though, he's such a nice person.

We quickly became friends! I recommend the "Dirty" drink (his is excellent), and of course the hot lattes so you can see his amazingly extraordinary latte art.

We came to grab coffee to go at 7:05am. He was supposed to be opened already and as we stand right in front of him thought the lights off, locked door glass closet, he looks at us like “are you kidding that you are here for coffee?!” He proceeds to take his SWEET time to open during this pandemic. Interesting that he was bothered. We thought business would be good for business. Too many great coffee shops. Get it together or hire...

Great coffee! I didn’t see vegan milk options (I brought my own oat milk). Sadly, it’s not great to stay for a while to work, as it’s very small & loud from passing traffic.

It would be nice if they served iced coffee in glass rather than plastic for customers dining in & switched to eco friendly straws. Still 5 stars for service & coffee quality! ⭐️

Hopefully they’ll work on using less plastic & get some vegan...
