Be ware that the right hand side restaurant of the same brand, is not good. Go left when you enter the food market. The cook operating on the left side uses plenty of spicing, not toouch salt, not too much oil, just perfect and he's more generous with the ingredients. The right hand side cook soaked the pad thai in oil, hardly added any spices and soaked the food in sugar dressing. It just tasted sweet, i had to add all the lime ony plate to get any other taste at all. So please go left when you enter. Left side has the best pad thai in town, right side (in my limited experience) doesn't.
New updated review (left hand side restaurant)
Best pad thai i've had during my whole trip to Thailand. Well spiced, plenty of vegetables, delicious and good service all for 80 baht. The stir fried vegetables had plenty of mushrooms and tasted excellent, not too salty and it was so savory. Also it wasn't greasy at all compared to the right side restaurant. Very good food, i want to eat here every night.
Old review (right hand side restaurant)
The Pad thai was more or less as expected. It tasted nice overall, but was very greasy. I don't know if that is how it usually is supposed to be. That is not why the review is low. That was ok, allthough a small portion.
7/10 vegetarian pad thai
I tried also a nearby stahl with spring rolls. They wore the same uniform as other market workers, so i include this in the review. They looked really nice before the kind lady put them in the deepfryer for 4 mins, making them so greasy and removing so much taste, that i couldn't eat them.
It would be better to have them heated either for 30 seconds or to make them freshly with ready pastry. The water in them would have pushed out some of the grease that way, but this way by deepfrying them twice they were filled to the brim with oil making them inedible.
they had the potential to be very nice, its a shame.
4/10 for the spring rolls because of the lack of taste and greasiness...
Read moreDirty, unfriendly and expensive (local restaurants with few tourists are cheaper and more sanitary). Solicitation is extreme, and even taking pictures when you haven't purchased ingredients feels intimidating. we waited a very long time for our food There are a lot of hygienic problems. (For your health, we do not recommend eating at (KATA walking street night Market.) Whatever you order, the food is below your expectations. There may be food. Do not accept even if the people who serve you during the meal give you cooked (seafood not fresh, not tasty )while saying something you don't understand. The most important thing is that it is wise to do the calculation yourself and receive a bilge when checking out after meals. Be sure to check the menu prices and bilge prices. Personally, at (KATA walking street night market), I recommend eating only simple skewers and fruits rather...
Read moreOne of the best Pad Thai and Tom Yum I have ever eaten in my entire life! Basically we came here to eat almost all the nights. Why? We couldn’t get enough of the food!
Yes, it is a night market and, as expected, not a fancy Michelin start restaurant! What they lack in fine dining are compensating in flavors and variety of the dishes!
I want to tell the owner that she is completely amazing and funny and makes this place feel welcoming!
We really recommend this place and must try all kinds of plates she has! Fish? To die for! Garlic shrimp? my oh my!
Will definitely return each time we are in...
