SCOTT SAYS: Jenn had a very early surgery at the Bumrungrad International Hospital, so I went out for a walk to clear my mind. I found Breakfast Story 11 by accident because it's located down an alley. Don't let the location keep you away - this place is a gem.
I ordered the Breakfast Story because bacon? Always a yes. Four pieces of the best bacon I've had so far in Thailand. The pancake actually came with syrup, another a first in Thailand. Everything was so great, I came back each day Jenn was in the hospital. I knew this where I'd take her for her first post-surgery meal.
JENN SAYS: The Breakfast Story menu is so eclectic, I could eat here 100 times and never have the same thing twice. Eggs Benedicts, scrambles, salads, smoothies, french toasts, mimosas, poutine - this menu has it all for every taste bud.
I was ready to have something indulgent after 3 days of very good, very nutritious hospital food. The plate barely hit the table before I inhaled the first pancake. It was so pretty, so light, so fluffy, tasted like buttermilk, and was the perfect size that I would have been content with just the pancakes. I had to stop at 2 to make room for the bacon, fruit, and potatoes - and I still had a good amount of food left over. If the doctor would allow it, I'd have ordered the mimosa. Instead, I had a good old fashioned Arnold Palmer and snatched up a huge, fresh chocolate chip cookie to-go.
The Breakfast Story is an excellent value for the price. Plus, our food came out very fast, which is a testament to their excellent staff. The staff is bright, welcoming, fun, and accommodating. We joked with them about how one of the servers resembles a famous person (she does!) and they let me sit comfortably while Scott went to the pharmacy for me. Overall, it is the place you come when you want to feel like you're at a home away from home. This will be our go-to spot while we're in Bangkok because I have to try the PB&J Smoothie and the Red...
Read moreEvery trip to Bangkok wouldn’t be complete without a visit (or several) to Breakfast Story 11—a charming, feel-good café that’s become our beloved breakfast ritual.
Let’s start with what keeps us dreaming between visits: the peanut butter, jelly, and banana toast. It’s not just a nostalgic nod to a childhood classic—this version is elevated, decadent, rich, and utterly to die for. The peanut butter is thick and creamy, the jelly perfectly tart, and the banana slices add just the right sweetness and texture. Whether it’s your first bite or your fiftieth, it feels indulgent every time.
Breakfast Story 11 has mastered the balance between cozy and cool. The ambiance is welcoming, laid-back, and consistently upbeat. Whether we’re grabbing a quick breakfast or lingering over a second cup of coffee, we always feel at home. The service is top-notch—friendly, efficient, and never rushed. It’s the kind of place where the staff remembers your order and your name, which makes each visit feel even more special.
It’s more than just the food. It’s the vibe. The familiarity. The comforting routine of being greeted with a smile and leaving full and happy. We’ve made it a tradition—every time we’re in Bangkok, we return. And without fail, Breakfast Story 11...
Read moreVisiting BKK April 2025, our first visit was met with great hospitality, clean vibes, & scrumptious food (salute to the cooks)! We made several visits to the Sukhumvit 11 location and was never disappointed. We tried an item or 2 from each part of the menu (except Cold Brew & Espresso).
We've had breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner (dine in and take away). It may seem expensive, unless you are a foodie and a home cook, you can appreciate the flavors that exude a loving touch. Nothing tasted frozen or pre-made. We returned several times - without regret.
My favorites are: fries (you don't taste any old or heavy oils); the Classic Burger tastes (almost) like my seasoned homemade & well-done; 2-Eggs Breakfast (e-ve-ry-thing about it!); Smoked Salmon Benedict (I opted for scrambled egg; wanted more Hollandaise sauce); and the Carrot Cake.
**We did do one order via food app from another location, but the quality and care of the food (esp according to specific notes) was not as impressive as the dining in experience at Suk11.
I didn't catch many names, everyone was so welcoming. But a shoutout to Ms Dee - the lil lady with the big smile 😁.
BS11, see you guys again in two months!! "Good Morning!"
