The only scammed experience we had during our two weeks stay in Bangkok sadly happened on our last day at this hotel. Reply to the reaction of the hotel below: it gets even worse, the general manager is blatantly lying. There was no receipt at all other than the picture attached to this review. But first: overall nice hotel, nice rooms friendly staff and great location. We didn't use breakfast at the hotel so can't rate that. Beware: at night there are a lot of loud deep sounds from traffic noise (5th floor, bring earplugs to sleep well). Also, the shower temperature isn't stable and goes from cold to very hot all the time. On check-out day in the morning we requested a late checkout because of our late flight that day. The front desk, after checking for it, told me that late check-out was certainly possible and that from 12.00 - 18.00 PM it would cost us an extra standard fee of 1.000 baht. Asked how I wanted to pay for the half day late check-out (they charge 1.000 baht from 12.00-18.00 PM), I replied with the deposit which you have to pay at check-in (1.000 baht), if possible. I was told that was fine. The front desk employee then came back with the general manager who told me late checkout wasn't possible because they were fully booked for the day. We could however extend our stay from 12.00-13.00 PM free of charge, leave our luggage at the front desk and use the 'shower room' later in the day, I was told. Upon asking why they were suddenly fully booked and explaining we really need the late checkout (flight at 20.35 PM), I was suddenly told by the manager that late check-out in our room was possible, but now for 1.500 baht, not 1.000 baht. I chose to pay for it (1.500 baht) and then received a non-specified receipt for only 500 baht.. The hotel sadly gave us the only scammed feeling we experienced in Bangkok and that on the last day of our holiday. They seem to respond nicely to critical reviews here, but I have yet to see them truly resolve a problem and show (financial) courtesy to their guests. I understand the standard late check-out fee of 1.000 baht, but the way this went and suddenly needing to pay 1.500 baht and receiving a non-specified receipt for 500 baht feels like I was scammed by the hotel. They should just charge us the standard 1.000 and refund the 500 we paid extra. I will update here whether they fix this on check-out later today.

We stayed for 2 nights, booked through Agoda, and it was the WORST experience ever among all the hotels we stayed during our time in Bangkok. First of all, this hotel is not honest about the room capacity. When we search, we put in 6 people as the group size, and it came out this option of connecting room for 6, WITHOUT adding beds. But when we got to our room, it only has 1 king size bed and 2 single beds, how in the world that can host 6 adults? Then we ask the front desk if there’s anything they can do to help us, the answer was “You can move the beds and combine them together yourself” So we ended up squeezed 3 people on the king size bed and another 3 on the 2 combined single beds, for 2 nights. Secondly, the room was very dirty, there were little trash here and there, especially at the corner and along the tables. Drink/coffee stains on the table. Bath towel in some kind of grey color…. And the room smell moldy. We’ve asked if we can get some clean towels, the answer was yes but it never happened. Thirdly, the breakfast is served from 6:00-10:00am, when we went around 8:30am, there were almost nothing left to eat, we tried to toast some waffles and breads, the very helpful staff keep on turning the toaster too slow and burn the bread, he doesn’t care we told him is too slow… Lastly, the whole surrounding streets are very lively at night, full of bars, loud music and all the crazy, joyful crowds. So if you are not here for night life, this is not the place to stay at all. Even you are here just for bar hopping, there are so much more options then this one, we will definitely NOT coming back.

I want to say good things about this place, so I will. …then I’ll get into to some harsh truths. Immediately upon check in , you can tell The staff is hands on and tried to make sure the long didn’t get too long. A bellboy opened my door and took in my luggage before I could even exit the car. Every time during my stay I passed a staff member, I was greeted with smiles and welcomes. At breakfast, I was granted a complimentary cappuccino. The breakfast buffet is also very good. A mix of dim sum, thai western and European. It’s small but quality. The gym is adequate and the wifi worked well. Key card security for elevators 👍🏾 I didn’t have an issue with noise during my stay. BOTTOM LINE: You won’t find a better price with this location and facilities which is why I assume they still get so much business. But if I had to do it again, I’d spend a little more change for another hotel. HERE’S WHY: when I entered my room, It felt humid and icky then I noticed stains on the counter. I took pictures, went downstairs and showed the receptionist. He said “there’s nothing the housekeepers could do.” They switched me to a new room and it was THE SAME.! I couldn’t believe it. The pool is completely Instagram vs REALITY. I don’t know if they remodeled or just have a magician photographer but it’s a completely different pool! Somehow the air and feeling of this place feels like a budget beach hotel and it’s nowhere near the beach 😂

We recently stayed at Hotel Eleven Bangkok on Soi 11, booked through Agoda, and would like to share our experience in detail:

While booking, Agoda clearly mentioned 24-hour check-in availability. We had also noted our early arrival time of 8:00 AM after a long international flight. However, upon reaching the hotel, we were told by reception that rooms were not available, and our request was denied. This was disappointing, especially since we had trusted the booking platform’s information.

When we politely requested at least one room for rest until our booked rooms were ready, the reception staff informed us (in a rather odd manner) that as per their system, whichever room is given initially must be continued for the entire stay. This meant that if we accepted an available standard room, we would have to downgrade from our paid premium room category for the whole duration. We have stayed in many hotels booked through Agoda, but this was the first time we faced such an anti-customer policy.

Due to this, we had no choice but to book a nearby hotel on an hourly basis to rest, and only after 11 AM we received a call from Hotel Eleven that our rooms were ready.

On a positive note, the hotel’s location is fantastic—right in the heart of Sukhumvit Soi 11, just steps away from vibrant clubs, discos, bars, and restaurants.

Once we checked in, our entire stay was smooth and enjoyable. There were no further issues.

The breakfast buffet was very good, with 2–3 vegetarian Indian options daily. This was especially appreciated by us and will be a big plus point for vegetarian guests.

The rooms were well-maintained, and all accessories and facilities were in perfect working condition.

Suggestion for improvement: It would be great if the hotel could provide temporary early-morning accommodation for guests arriving from long international flights and later shift them to their originally booked rooms once ready. Additionally, we strongly recommend adding authentic Indian Masala Tea to the breakfast menu, as their restaurant team already prepares it wonderfully when requested.

Overall: Despite the initial check-in disappointment, we had a nice stay at Hotel Eleven Bangkok Sukhumvit 11. The excellent location, good breakfast variety, and well-kept rooms make it a solid choice for travelers who want to enjoy the lively...
