Been eating here for must be 20 years plus. Always consistant, good food, good service. Tonight went with my partner and son. Main course I ordered a Hawaiian pizza. It came without pinapple ... not one piece whatsover. Was going to mention staff, but son stopped me advising that sometimes pinapple not on it ! I should have checked menu, but was enjoying rare family time (as son had flown over to see me for a week). Anyway, checked after, and of course pinapple is on the Lemoncello Hawaiian pizza ... but NOT on my one ! So, either chef forgot ... boo .... or they run out. If they run out, why not tell me when accepting order, or worse still, why charge me for the pizza variety, but not served ? Our bill was just under 4k for 3 people, so feel a bit cheated and upset.
Don't like leaving a bad review, but you are only as good as your last service, and you failed tonight with me. Sorry, just feel that you are a pizzaria, and pinapple is principle topping of a Hawaiian pizza ... but you didn't provide it, but still charged full price. Poor awareness. Restaurant should know that there is no pineapple so don’t accept this order or don’t try and sell anyway in the hope customer doesn’t notice ? So poor.
Ps. I see the owner doesn't bother to reply to comments, either to thank positive reviews or explain problems etc (such as not giving you the main topping of a pizza !). Seems complacancy has set in. Sad, but don't think I'll visit again, plenty of enthusistic restaurants in Bangkok now. End of an era now for me …. all because of you trying to get away with something so small yet vital to a...
Read morePIZZERIA LIMONCELLO receives a moderate 3-star rating due to a mix of positive aspects and notable drawbacks that impact the overall dining experience.
The food quality is described as acceptable, but the value for money is questionable. The pricing seems higher than justified for the quality and quantity of food served, creating a disconnect between cost and dining satisfaction.
Service presents a mixed picture. While the staff is noted as friendly and good overall, there's a significant issue with timing. The practice of clearing plates while others are still eating is particularly problematic, as it can make remaining diners feel rushed and uncomfortable. This premature clearing of dishes shows a lack of attention to proper dining etiquette.
Despite the friendly demeanor of the staff, this service misstep suggests a need for better training in fine dining protocols. In a restaurant attempting to position itself in a higher price bracket, such basic service errors are particularly noticeable.
While the restaurant shows potential with its friendly service and acceptable food, the combination of questionable value for money and awkward service timing prevents it from achieving a higher rating. For improvement, the restaurant should consider adjusting either its prices or food quality to better align value, and refine its service protocols to enhance the dining experience.
For those considering PIZZERIA LIMONCELLO, they should be prepared for decent food but at prices that might seem steep, along with some service timing issues that could affect the overall...
Read moreThis was likely the worst dining experience of our trip. We chose this restaurant because we noticed it seemed to have a consistent crowd over the past few days, but it turned out to be a big disappointment. I ordered the supposedly homemade spinach and ricotta ravioli in butter and sage sauce, but it was completely bland. I had to use the salt, pepper, Parmesan, and Italian herbs on the table just to make it edible.
The service was chaotic as well—my ravioli arrived within 5–10 minutes of ordering, but water wasn’t served until I was halfway through my meal. The beef carpaccio came out alongside the house bread and our coffee, while my husband’s risotto arrived last. Unfortunately, it was only slightly better than the ravioli.
To make matters worse, the restaurant was empty when we arrived, yet the maître d’ chose to seat us right next to the service condiment station. We didn’t want to cause any trouble, so we stayed where we were seated. Overall, I would not recommend this place. My husband and I make much better...
