Delightful Dining Experience at Wagyu Sukiyaki and Shabu Yuna!
Last night, we indulged in a delightful dining experience at Wagyu Sukiyaki and Shabu Yuna, located in the heart of Bangkok. This restaurant offers a mouthwatering selection of wagyu beef and a unique fusion of sukiyaki and shabu-shabu that left us thoroughly impressed.
The ambiance of the restaurant is warm and welcoming, perfectly complementing the premium dining experience. The wagyu beef, as expected, was the star of the show—beautifully marbled, tender, and bursting with flavor. It cooked beautifully on the tabletop grill, making each bite a luxurious treat.
The sukiyaki was rich and flavorful, with a savory broth that enhanced the taste of the fresh vegetables and tofu accompanying the meat. The sides were equally impressive, especially the crispy and light karaage and the perfectly seasoned tamago. The thoughtful presentation of each dish added to the overall enjoyment.
The service was impeccable, with attentive and friendly staff who ensured our meal was perfect from start to finish. The experience was not just a meal, but a delightful journey through exquisite tastes and textures.

The interior design is stylish and modern, and even the cutlery and tableware are thoughtfully chosen, adding to the overall experience. Upon arrival, we were served a small complimentary appetizer, which was a nice touch.
Unfortunately, my experience started off a bit unpleasant — my glass of water had visible dirt in it. The staff replaced it quickly when I pointed it out, but by then, nearly half the bottle was already poured and had to be discarded.
The menu features an impressive range of alcoholic beverages, including many high-end options. As for the food, the sushi tasted fresh and well-prepared, but the rice-to-fish ratio was off. There was too little fish for the price, making the sushi feel unbalanced and overpriced.
I also tried a wagyu rice bowl. It was fine, but nothing special — not something I’d order again, especially considering the price tag of 1,150 THB. For that amount, I’ve had significantly better dishes elsewhere, both in terms of portion size and quality.
In summary, a stylish place with decent food and drinks, but not the best value for money....
Read moreUpdate: been a year since I've been back so decided to try this place again. Ordered the mapao tofu set and rainbow sushi. The sushi arrived first, it tasted ok but the fish pieces weren't cut properly making the edge jagged or a little torn. The mapao tofu took a while to arrive but it was pretty delicious and I liked most of the sides. So I've decided to add a star from my old review. By food alone this place is probably deserving of 4 stars but food here is a bit expensive as they charge 10% service fee and 7% vat. Also they offer 5% discount if you give them a 5 star review...which I find a bit unfair. ..... Ordered the beef bone ramen and salmon roll...the ramen tasted ok, the broth was a little too salty but had good flavor, there was not much meat but it was overcooked and a little tough. The salmon roll took forever to arrive like 20+ mins, I was actually about to leave when it arrived. It did not taste very fresh and was packed kind of loosely. If you look at the roll I got vs the roll in the menu, they are pretty different. So I was pretty dissapointed by the meal. There was also a little bit of a funky smell in...
