Overall: 2/5 Tldr: Save your time and money, go to a different sky bar instead. Shouldve known it'd be mid given the location being above the Ramada, but they still managed to underdeliver below already low expectations. Drinks were terrible & worst was their plethora of hidden fees (water, service, vat).
Food: 1/5 Mango sticky rice drink- Absolutely did not taste anything like mango sticky rice. Supposedly it was a mix of mango and coconut milk. Tasted like cheap canned mango concentrate mixed with expired coconut cream, and watered down. Was only able to stomach a few sips, and did not finish it.
Lamb chops- Was on the "shareable" section of menu, but only came with 2 pieces lol so idk who youre expected to share it with. Tasted bland on their own, but the green sauce helped. The potato cake it came with incredibly dry and inedible.
Water- We were charged 180 baht for "500ml" of water. This apparently equated to 2 small glasses each filled halfway. When they had poured the water, there was still a lot left in the bottle, but when asked for the rest of it, server said there was none left. Lol. We got scammed on water. How sad.
Service: 1/5 I mean, the server took the order and brought the food, so at least they did their job I guess. In no way did it feel deserving of or justify the mandatory service charge. Especially with how dishonest they were about the water.
Environment: 3/5 Cheaply decorated, but at least it felt fairly private given how empty it was (go figure). The view was underwhelming for a roof top bar. Not much skyline to see. Good luck washing your hands as the bathroom sink is at a trickle; maybe the one downstairs is better. At least the place is pretty chill vibes & the blacklight room was...
Read moreReally wanted to love this place. Got the NYE menu which cost 5500 baht. Didn't want the wine pairing but it was mandatory — fair enough, we were ok with it (not so great for the non-drinkers in our group, but it's NYE so ok), but our evening gradually went downhill from there.
Dinner was a painfully protracted event, with us waiting 45 minutes between courses, interspersed with us constantly checking in on the staff on the status of our meal.
Also, when the dishes finally did arrive, the staff forgot our wine pairing and had to be reminded multiple times.
For a moment it seemed like we wouldn't get our main course and dessert before the countdown — after some confusion the staff offered to give us doggy bags to take away the rest of our meal.
And right when we were about to give up on eating, our steaks arrived... Much to our bemusement.
Worst part was when the bill came — they forgot to deduct the reservation deposit of 4000 baht (!!!)
Mixed feelings about this place but one thing for sure is I cannot recommend this until the level of service is improved. Food was decent but given the service, we might never revisit this experience again.
Edit: it's 1am and we've been waiting 20 minutes for the staff to pack up our dessert, a bit unacceptable since we exempted them from serving us during peak NYE countdown times. We've given up on ever trying the pre-dessert. Really...
Read moreFood: Delicious and beautifully presented, loved it. Me and my partner had tuna tartare, salmon ponzu, gazpacho soup as starters, lobster paella as the main, and the strawberry matcha dessert. Everything was impeccable.
Drinks: Cool concept, wide variety of choices, tasty and creative. The presentation is nice and neat but lacks some accent.
Service: Good and attentive, our table was regularly attended and cleaned. A thing I would like to improve though was that the waiter didn’t ask us about any allergies (and if I had one, I would like to be asked to avoid any unpleasant experience).
Athmosphere: We wanted to sit outside on the terrace, but the music there was too loud to have a conversation. Perhaps the next time it would be nice to sit there too. The two dissonances me and my partner felt with this place were 1) the music choices of the DJ, which felt like some kind of 2000s club remixes radio or like Krabi bar pop music or whatever, and it didn’t suit the place too much; 2) the use of the plastic straw instead of the glass one in a classy place like this was giving the wrong vibe.
Overall, good experience and impression, I’d like to come back sometime to see if they’d address any of...
