Exceeded my expectations totally. Came here with a Korean friend and we loved the meat quality and taste. They cooked the meat for us in the kitchen so there’s no smell of smoke
Ribeye: absolutely delicious and perfectly cooked, with grilled veggies done well
Soybean paste soup: my Korean friend found it a little salty and not very Korean, but I loved it.
Naengmyeon (cold buckwheat noodles): good, though I’m used to it coming with a boiled egg which this one doesn’t
Steamed egg: I think this is free if you order meats, but it was perfectly done, fluffy and delicious
Pork galbi: well seasoned and tasty, above average
Yukjeon (meat pancakes): these are rarely found in restaurants and I recommend this highly. It’s thin slices of meat covered in egg and flour and fried, served with a dipping sauce.
Banchan(free side dishes): this was probably the most meh part of the meal. Variety and quality was average at best.
Although I’m not a fan of the bright yellow decor, I’ll be back...

Read moreI was immediately drawn in by the warm, welcoming service and the clean, vibrant atmosphere, akin to embarking on a promising culinary journey.
The 600฿ Wagyu Outside Skirt Steak, however, veered off course with its lack of flavor and peculiar liver-like taste – a detour from the expected gastronomic adventure. But as with any great journey, there was redemption. The Marinated Pork ("Dwaeji Galbi") surfaced as the standout dish, offering a tender, succulent experience that reinvigorated my taste buds.
In the end, Joeun BBQ earns a well-deserved 4-star rating. Despite the Wagyu's misstep, the friendly service, inviting atmosphere, and the Marinated Pork make it a worthy destination for those in search of a memorable Korean...
