Bar.Yard — Restaurant in Lumphini Subdistrict

Food was a complete joke. How does anyone give high reviews to this place blows my mind ! Do people on the review have poor taste pallets or have non of these people ever eaten out ?? Very low quality poor ingredients even though the menu serves basic items. Me and my date (she’s local & studied abroad) for the night who are two different people with our own opinions, both agree this place is 100% not worth your time or money.

• Complimentary chips given once your seated were STALED. Disgusting, you might as well not served the complimentary chips if you are going to give something that taste a week old..

• Asked for the recommended salad, which they suggested “Smoked burrata cheese over applewood”…worse salad I had in my life. Super cheap quality ingredients, the cheese itself was nasty & was placed on a half chopped lettuce with a slice of cantaloupe. Joke of a presentation. 💀

• Lobster popcorn was another suggested dish, they used cheap frozen tasteless bland “fake” lobster. Tasted like it was 6 months old..how do you go wrong with frozen..sheshh..

• Chicken quesadillas was the only decent platter for the night, apart from the bottle water of Perrier. Would give it 4/10, again cheap on the quality of ingredients they use on most of their platters.

• Atmosphere : Not ideal for a date, it is so windy that your girls hair blows all over her face. If you girl has a wig on, it will definitely fly off her head no matter what time of day you come to this restaurant. Interior design is a mess, they could make a more simple classy looking design with their layout.

• Cleanliness : 4/10 if you smell the blue table napkin they place on your plate, they do not use any sort of detergent to wash their cloths. It was like absolute puke, I suggest to use the tissues placed on the table if you are going to wipe your face.

• Music : Corny commercial music that was popular 15-20 years ago, just by listening to the music you know this spot is for tourist that are silly enough to over pay for overpriced cheap quality food.

• Service : 4/5 Waiters were all good & very attentive.

Stayed for 30 minutes & left. Never understood why there was so much hype for this place. Normally never wrote a review in Bangkok but this place is a no no for anyone.

Go to Roast at either Emquartier or The Commons for similar prices but much higher quality menu...

The whole space feels alive, buzzing just the right amount, without being overwhelming.

The views are stunning—especially during golden hour. From up here, you get a sweeping look at Bangkok’s skyline, softened by sunset tones and framed by palm fronds and whimsical lighting. It's tropical rooftop meets garden party, and it completely transforms your perspective of the city.

The cocktails? Playful, creative, and well-balanced. I tried a few house signatures, each one as visually fun as it was flavorful. Whether you’re into bold and boozy or light and citrusy, there’s something for every palate. The bartenders are friendly and more than happy to recommend something based on your mood.

What really stood out to me was the vibe. It’s not stiff or overly polished—it’s easygoing, social, and full of personality. It’s the kind of rooftop where you could dress up or dress down and still feel right at home. Whether you’re starting your night here or ending it with a last round under the stars, Bar.Yard delivers.

If you’re staying at Kimpton, it’s an absolute must-visit. If not, it’s still worth making the trip for the cocktails, views, and that infectious...

Horrible service, I made a reservation for two, ended up sitting at the bar, don't know why, OK I said, I'm hungry, so i sat there with menu for about 20 minutes as the gentlemen next to me receives amazing attention and service, then the bartender decides to engage with me. I order my drink - old fashion, hell it takes another 20mins just to order my starter.

I got my starter and my drink, I finish my drink it takes about at least 5mins till a waitress notices that I've been sitting, waiting for service, she asks if I want a drink I say yes, she disappears, 20mins later the bartender gives me a shot of some sort still ignored that i want to order another drink and more food, then he has the nerve to return to cheers with me, like seriously? The service was horrendous, I walked away hungry and totally felt judged for being black person because why else was the white man sitting next to me receiving such amazing service?

Please train your staff, especially if I'm paying, all I wanted was to be served accordingly, and it wasn't just the waitress and the bartender at fault who ignored me, the man in the black suite and staff came around the bar and simply ignored a paying customer. Ended uo at craft bar downstairs and received AMAZING SERVICE, got my food within less than 10mins, yes i counted. Im supposed to return tomorrow with another friend as i recommended this place to her, won't be returning and definitely wont be recommending this place anymore, I've been there so many times but this was just disgusting behavior and very discriminatory - value...
