Decided to drop by for lunch since I was staying at the hotel. Was greeted at the door by the staff and brought to a table immediately.
Decided on an Amarone by the glass, and gnocchi. Happy to see that the pasta was offered in two sizes. Got myself the small plate.
Was served the complimentary house crispy bread. Staff informed that this dish is also suitable for vegetarians. The bread already had drizzlings of olive oil, but one could always add more olive and balsamic to it. The eggplant, pepper dip was mild and creamy and I loved it with the simple sea salt.
Gnocchi arrived in about 15 minutes and it looked really good. Served hot, and with strong savoury earthy flavours. Loved the well incorporated taste in this dish and for the last few bites, added some of the crispy bread to for texture contrast. Yums.
I sought the staff's help to recommend dessert and opted for current crowd favourite, the amalfi lemon. It arrived pretty. Tasted of white chocolate and cream cheese. Best flavours when all components were eaten together in one bite.
Then, the thought of leaving without having a taste of Biscotti Tiramisu didn't seem to sit well. Staff probably sensed this and asked if I would like to have another dessert. Haha.
There's a mini table side service if one orders the tiramisu. Staff shared that tiramisu is made fresh daily.
Tiramisu tasted homemade and flavours were subtle.
Then Chef Giuseppe came by and somehow, I ended up with my third dessert; orange brioche with lemon sherbet. The brioche was soft and pillowy. Served warm and one could spread some of the tangy refreshing sherbet on it to enjoy together. Thank you for letting me having a taste of Sicily's summer breakfast food.
Enjoyed my experience at this restaurant and kudos to the friendly and efficient staff at...

Read moreThis is one of the top Italian restaurants in Bangkok. Although it is in a hotel setting, the atmosphere is quite relaxed. There’s parking available so its quite convenient. Probably more convenient for the guests that are staying at the hotel. Ive been here a few times already and the quality is always consistent.
About the food: Ive had everything from risotto to beef carpaccio to scallops to lobsters etc. Usually go for the seasonal menu as one of the dish to try as the ingredients is fresh. Truffle season is the best season!. Great lobster pasta and Caesar salad. Enjoyed it very much
About the wine: Probably one of the better hotel restaurants with good selections of wine - whether it is from Italy, France, or USA. The selection is quite large.
About the service: the staff are quite attentive here and working their way around the dining room.
