Service is pathetic. One of the waiter had no respect and he ignored us and went to the next table when we had arrived before and were ready to give the order. We asked him why he was not taking our order. Then he took our order and he stated making an argument out of it when we questioned him. We then ordered 2 vegetarian thalis. After about 12 minutes only one thali was served. We waited for some time however, the other thali did not arrive. When we asked the in charge, he checked with the concerned waiter who said we had ordered only one thali and when asked if 2 people can share one thali he said no. It was obvious that he had purposely done it. The veg thali was quite good however, one cannot enjoy anything when one is treated disrespectfully. Food should be served with love and not hatred. My reason to put this review is for the owner to employ people who know what service is about and specially in Thailand as tourists come to enjoy the Thai hospitality and the variety of food. The chef and the incharge finally apologised on behalf of the waiter. We have forgotten the incident and hope the owner will look into the issue and correct it. My thanks to those who listened to our complaint and timely...
Read moreHappiness often comes from life’s simplest pleasures — like sharing a meal with loved ones. Yet that joy rises even higher when it’s at a place like Royal India.
On our way back from a holiday in Lampang, my wife, daughter, and I stopped for a late lunch. What delighted us was a feast both comforting and memorable — Palak Paneer, Dal Makhani, and Rogan Josh paired with silky soft garlic naans, and complemented by a fragrant mutton biryani with cool, creamy Raita. Each dish was a reminder of why Royal India remains one of our family’s favorite dining spots: food cooked with care, seasoned with authenticity, and served with genuine warmth.
As a returning guest, I’m often surprised to see few odd negative reviews. Perhaps some customers simply caught an off day, but my visits have been consistently wonderful — marked by rich flavors, gracious service, and a welcoming atmosphere that makes every meal feel special. All I have is praise for Royal India and the people running it. You don’t just serve food — you create experiences that...
Read moreMost pathetic service ever.ordered for one onion pratha which was slightly bigger then a chapati so I called for one naan which was again same size as prantha and one shahi paneer and a Fanta which costed me 678 bhat n the portion was so less that if doesn’t fill one persons stomach too. I like there selling gimmick ( serve so less that the customer keeps ordering ) none of the server was attentive and when I told them to remove the service charge as I din like the way they served the girl fought with me and said ‘only Indians do like this’ din understand wat exactly she meant by this statement but it got me really irritated as she was working in an Indian Resturant n passed such a remark.I took her pic and she started fighting with me.so when u write something good and take there pic then they don’t mind at all.anyway plz avoid going to this place.there are lot of good Indian restaurants in Bangkok which are much cheaper tastier and serve good quantity.like ‘Amritsr...
