Tokyo Tonkotsu (pork base) Soup Meticulously prepared pork bone broth – extremely rich and thick pork soup cooked for several hours. Combined with special flavorings in order to achieve a creamy consistency with the perfect aroma

About, The Tokyo tonkotsu ramen “Bankara” possesses a delectable taste of natural pork bone broth which is extremely rich and flavorful. Known as the youth’s favorite, the secret lies in the rich taste and flavor of the meticulously prepared pork broth as the base soup and the melted super tender pork backfat as a final flourish to the ramen. The broth was prepared overtime in order to obtain the perfect consistency and rich meatiness.

The word ”Bankara” is a colloquial term that was once used in Japan to best describe an individual outstanding and unique style amidst the swarm of a conformist society. Bankara’s brand values and product offering are unmistakably Japanese, yet differentiated from the market competitors in tantalising the customers dining experience, namely the palette and sensory immersion.

Embracing the philosophy “Cooking by Heart”, Bankara brand is the result of Mr. Kusano’s desire to constantly innovate and improve the taste of Japanese ramen. Drawing upon his family’s expertise handed down through the generations, Mr. Kusano embarked on a quest in selecting the finest of ingredients and cooking techniques, to develop a new ramen...

I’ve had plenty of ramen from various shops in Japan so it’s always tough to find suitable taste ramen outside of Japan. These days, you will see bunch of new, trendy, fusion confusion ramen all over the place, especially here in Bangkok. I’m all about simple, rich flavor ramen with basic toppings which Bankara ramen delivers, all of it.

At this point, I come here somewhat often about once or twice a month. Kakuni tonkotsu + Bankara men (medium size noodles) + Karaage are my regular choice.

Tonkotsu soup is perfectly rich, fatty as always but I always add generous amount of grated fresh garlic to enhance the broth even crazier further.

Kakuni braised pork is fatty and tender. You can taste delicious sweet, salty from soy sauce marinated. There’s no better kakuni anywhere else in Bangkok. Bankara just nailed it everyday. While chashu is just okay though.

Karaage also top notch, it’s perfectly fried every time. Chicken stays juicy and flavorful, batter is addictively crispy. I like to dip it in tonkotsu broth, it’s marvelous. Better than other karaage I’ve had in many Japanese restaurants.

The whole experience is always very positive, up to par with quality strong ramen in Japan. So no wonder I kept...

Do you want to experience life on another food level? You are probably thinking you know everything about Ramen and what it can be, taste, feel in the mouth. Prepared to be wrong!

First you got to understand why this place exists, Japanese tourists have been coming to this part of Thailand for many years and has become a mini Japan Town. Bankra opened up offering amazing authentic Ramen for the many people who tour through this country.

The Ramen here is extremely rich in flavor and heavy so be prepared to order a coke or sprite to help with it. It is obvious I ordered a lot of diverse Ramens and not going to lie I got indigested because I ate way too much. 3 bowls to be exact, and paid the price for the rest of the night.

However would I go back? Yes, yes, YES!

Would I eat 3 bowls again? No just 1 big one is good.

Service? Its Thailand, service is always top notch

Should you go here if you don’t love Ramen? Yes because life is an adventure so go and...
