Overall the restaurant itself is ok. It is located in the CENTRAL WORLD shopping mall in downtown Bangkok. Nevertheless, if it is to be an exclusive place, it would be worth considering some comfort for the guests, such as a type of canopy or an interesting, tasteful fence - giving guests some privacy. Nowadays, you feel like you're sitting in a circus arena and everyone can colloquially "look into your plate" (from any level of the gallery). However, this is not the most important observation, but only a suggestion. The service is very nice and friendly. The dishes are really good and the size is also ok. However, there are two soras that caught my attention and definitely had a negative impact on my assessment of this place. First of all, a % for service is automatically added to the bill, which in my opinion is unfair because it neither motivates employees to work better nor allows the customer to express his opinion by, for example, not giving a tip. However, the second issue became crucial for me, because I consider it to be cheating customers, namely, the prices given in the menu are net prices (without tax, which is added to the bill). It is a very expensive restaurant compared to other options even in the same building, so the issue of several hundred bth of extra payment may be a problem for someone. Of course, someone who decides to buy this restaurant has some financial resources, but still in my opinion the net prices is a...
Read moreWas greeted and seated politely, but honestly that's where it ended. I had travelled all night, spent my morning in an embassy and all I wanted was a comfy seat and something to eat. As I ordered a soda water, all the menus were whisked away, with no food order taken. So I had to ask for the menus again. From there I got the distinct feeling I was not wanted. I realise that the clientele that usually eats there look a certain way ( lots of Arab and Russian folks , and the staff were fussing) and there is an expectation of wealth from that look, but here's the thing...I am perfectly capable of paying for a bigger meal than I ordered, but I literally didn't want to , just wanted to eat and get out. Waitresses didn't smile, and after waiting and having to flag down someone for the bill, I walked past the manager on the way out and there was zero acknowledgement. I am very self reflective so I reflected on my behaviour, and I was polite and even tried a bit of friendliness. Nada. I have worked in high end hotels, I know the jam. How I was treated was out of order. I still left a further tip over and above the 10% already charged, but only because I know what a waitress wage is on average. If you guys are going to look down your noses at people, maybe don't have a restaurant in a...
Read moreThis used to be my favorite date night spot until recently. Quality and quantity of the food has gone down drastically and customer service is even worse. We always order tartiflette but noticed that the portion became so little during our recent visit, when we complained about it the new manager just kinda shrugged it off. No apology or sympathy just “I don’t know that’s how we do it now.” We even showed picture of how much portion we used to get compared to the current one and they just basically shut us down. They did offer a free dessert but I feel like a little accountability and sympathy would be better than that instead of a hostility. We also ordered a steak and it was cold and overcooked (we asked for medium rare) we didn’t even want to bother to complain because we are scared that it will be met with another hostility. Please train your new manager on better customer service, I fear that’s the bare minimum to be a restaurant manager. We go here at least once a month now we are not even interested to come back because of him. Not sure what his name is but he has some sort of European accent. The server was great, surprisingly more friendly than...
