A lovely breakfast and lunch spot, very old school in the heart of Old Town. A spot where locals gather over delicious Chinese and Thai/Chinese items! I've lived here for years and this place keeps me coming back for it's friendly service (the old lady is amazing!) and delicious items.
FOOD I've always had Chinese and Thai/Chinese dishes here and they are always on point.
The Bao buns are delicious, and the pork is my favourite. Super fluffy and well cooked, with a good portion of meat inside.
My favourite breakfast item here is actually the Khao Tom, a chicken rice porridge that is super filling and tasty. It's the type of dish that is savoury, yet healthy enough to keep you going all morning long. It's got ginger, green onions, and a half boiled egg could come on top if requested. It's gr at for anyone who is sick and needs a pick me up, and while it is a rice porridge and does fill you up, it goes down smooth and is VERY easy on the stomach. Breakfast of champions! It's perfect if you plan to have a heavy meal LATER in the day, as this keep you filled but passes through you fairly quickly.
ATMOSPHERE It's a quaint spot with a well in the middle! They keep the place very airy and it's not hot inside. Plenty of space for small or big groups. Comfortable chairs and really nice Chinese and Thai inspired photos on the wall. The lady is lovely and spry, very energetic for her age! Love it.

Read moreGood local place for those who want to get away from the overpriced, touristy restaurants and try some local food. Relaxed atmosphere, very nice staff and good food and drinks. I had the tea with condensed milk and a dish with tofu wrapped in seaweed with a sweet dipping sauce. Nice to get a non-Western style breakfast. There are fans to cool you down in the heat, and the interior is laidback and pleasant. The staff don't speak much English, and I had a little difficulty getting them to understand what I wanted to eat, so make sure they get your order right from the beginning. Not super cheap (smallish portions ), but not too expensive compared to other places nearby. They have a lot of food and drinks...

I’ve come here at least 5 times in the last week and a half, and I enjoyed every experience.
There is more seating than you’d expect - continue walking back and you’ll see room after room. My favorite spot to sit was the one outdoor table all the way in the back. Shared with a fan.
Highly recommend: Kaya Toast, Rice Porridge (any, but especially the Haianese style pork congee), crispy pork over rice, Thai tea, FRENCH TOAST, crab roll
Their dim sum is reasonably priced and fun to try with each meal (about 30-50 baht).
I’ll miss this place and the people! Until...
