Cafe Milano — Restaurant in Abu Dhabi

We came here for my cousin's birthday and it was a complete disaster! We called to reserve a day before and asked for a table with a view. They told us that we couldn't reserve and if we were lucky we'd get the table we wanted when we arrived. We called again on the same day to check if a table with a view would be available and they said they would try to accommodate us. When we arrived, we didn't get the table we wanted but asked the host to change our table when one became available. She said it was possible and she would make the change. However, when a table opened up, the waiter was rude and said we couldn't move because it was reserved. This was frustrating because they had previously told us reservations were not part of their policy !!! We spoke to the host and the manager, and were disappointed by their attitudes. They claimed the table was reserved for another customer who never showed up. This was our first visit, and it will definitely be our last. the whole experience felt discriminatory !!! The discrimination and treatment we experienced was unacceptable. It felt like they were prioritizing other customers who were able to reserve, while we were left without the table we wanted. How can I face discrimination in my own country? We will not be returning and will not be recommending this place to others. You have lost 4+ customers with your discriminatory policies...

The food wasn't up to the standard of the restaurant. Nice atmosphere, friendly staff, excellent sorbets but unfortunately it ends there. The food is horrible and really expensive in reference to the amount of food you get. For four pizzas, two salads and 2 dessert we payed around 1000 AED. (No alcohol was consumed) The salad was very poor in diversity, basically lettuce and cherry tomatoes and scarcely dressed. Extremely bitter to the taste too. Regarding the pizzas, such a disappointment... Supposedly the best pizza in Abu Dhabi, but believe me, it's a thousand light years away from being so. I've had my fair share of napolitean pizzas to know a margerita pizza shouldn't be bitter or black on the bottom and the dough dense and chewy. The staff wanted to make me believe it was normal... Pasta suffer the same fate, quite bland and not thrilling for the price. It's the second time we went there in a year but the situation is the same. However as a token of appreciation, the staff was very nice to offer us some desert following our feedback. For a high dollar dinner it might be fine, but if your looking for an authentic pizza...

I found the food quite underwhelming. I had high expectations, as the restaurant is located in the Four Seasons. And the prices are also towards the higher end. However unfortunately the food wasn't good. I ordered the Ravioli, but the dough on the top was dry and hard. As if it was kept under the heater in the kitchen for too long. Also the flavour was quite bland. Only the presentation of the dish was nice. My partner ordered the risotto which was quite salty and no other flavours too it. As the portion were quite small, and we were still hungry, we decided to try the dessert hoping that would be better. We ordered the dark chocolate cake. The cake was okay, the dough of it had a bit of an after taste. The raspberry sorbet ice cream that came with is was delicious. And probably the highlight of the night. The restaurant in itself has a nice view, and the staff was friendly. But didn't really do anything with out feedback. We were glad that we had Entertainer, so we had 1+1 on the main course.
