Read moreHaving lived in Dubai for 14 years, I had never experienced a scam until today, which proved to be quite an unusual situation. My clients were visiting, and a friend suggested we check out a nearby establishment close to the newly opened Marriott Marquis. Since I didn't have cash, I withdrew money from an ATM and headed to the venue. After watching a football match, I paid the bill of 500 AED with one note and a total of 800 AED, including a tip. We spent about 30 minutes there before leaving. As we were exiting, the manager approached us with two 500 AED notes, alleging that the note I had given was counterfeit. Thankfully, I had just withdrawn the money and was certain it was real. However, they insisted on exchanging it, accusing me of wrongdoing at a very inconvenient time. The police were called, and I explained the situation, but the security supervisor and manager were convinced that I had deliberately used fake currency. I requested to review the camera footage, but they informed me that due to a recent fire, the security cameras were not operational. It's even illegal to operate without functioning security cameras at this establishment. It was genuinely disheartening to see this place turn into the worst I have ever encountered. I strongly recommend avoiding this venue, as you not only risk becoming a victim of a scam, but everything also falls short of Dubai's standards. Stay away from this place at all costs. Indeed, one would certainly find satisfaction in escalating this issue. It is crucial to recognize that wrongdoing is wrongdoing, and there should be no hesitation in exposing it on various social...
Read moreOur recent visit to QDS Lounge and Restaurant offered a delightful blend of flavours, though not without a touch of confusion. The culinary journey began on a high note, with the food surpassing expectations and the service mostly on point. However, a minor hiccup occurred when our order for green tea was replaced with English breakfast tea, and the eagerly anticipated lemon cheesecake was swapped for a chocolate delight.
Setting aside the initial mix-up, the overall dining experience was commendable. The ambience struck the right chord, complemented by a picturesque view overlooking the creek. The highlight of the evening was the 10pm belly dancing show, adding a cultural and entertaining touch to the atmosphere.
QDS Lounge and Restaurant knows how to keep its patrons entertained with a well-timed happy hour from 5pm to 8pm, spanning two enjoyable hours. The beats of DJ Keza created a pleasant vibe without overpowering conversation. Free parking, a diverse menu including happy hour and vegetarian options, and the availability of shisha contribute to the venue's versatility.
Sports enthusiasts will appreciate the large projectors, ensuring an immersive viewing experience. The winter season adds a special charm to the visit, making it an opportune time to enjoy the offerings of this establishment. Despite the minor service glitch, QDS Lounge and Restaurant stands out as a well-rounded venue, offering a memorable experience for a diverse range of...
