This is not a typical Chinese Takeaway Restaurant, but a proper Malaysian Kopitiam. With higher prices, the food quality is really good. Although I expect to see a bigger portion or more ingredients given their prices, honestly.

On their menu, it is said that the Mee Goreng comes with Chicken and Fried Beancurd. Maybe they meant Bean Sprouts, which were there. Or maybe they meant Fish Tofu, which was there but I thought that was part of the extra Seafood. Whatever, I really didn't taste anything like Chicken.

If dine in, then cash only. Please note the restaurant could become extremely busy sometimes during lunch or dinner! Waiting for longer than 1 hour for some dishes is definitely possible, said by one of the staff.

P.S. (Answers to the Owner) Thanks for your responses and yes, you got the right order. When ordering Mee Goreng, I only commented 'no onion and no spring onion' and ticked the option for Prawns and Seafood with £1 extra. Maybe my understanding was slightly different, I thought all the original ingredients would be there plus Prawns and Seafood if I paid £1 extra. No worry, next time I will make everything clearer when...

A hidden gem in Birmingham serving good food with good service.

We had a reservation and upon arrival, was swiftly seated within minutes. Menus were served and orders placed soon after.

The main food came nice and piping hot with generous portions (although it did take a while to come - at least half hour). One thing I appreciated was that the fried dishes weren't (too) oily. The desserts - absolutely wowed me and I have been back once more just to order them. The only 'issue' was that we were served the desserts within 10minutes of ordering - before the mains! This meant we had to eat it first since it was shaved ice, and was starting to melt. We had thought it was obvious that desserts would be served after, but it's something we would keep in mind next time we visit - order after the mains are finished, or let the server know when ordering to serve after mains.

The pricing is very good, especially again for the portion size (we actually had to take some home with us). Our meal came up to under £40 for the three of us (rounded to give a tip as well). I would definitely recommend for some tasty ...

Came here with a friend for the first time this evening. It was also the first time we've ever tried Malaysian food. We were lucky to walk in and get a table as it was very busy. A lot of East Asian folks were eating here which is a great recommendation in and of itself! There is a VERY large menu. As a newbie it was quite intimidating 😅 The woman who served us seemed a touch impatient and rushed us a little. The dishes we chose we were told were 'appetisers' and it was heavily suggested we order two different food dishes each. However when the food came the portions were MASSIVE! The issue was because we were kind of pushed into ordering more there was some waste and we had to take half the meal home with us. The food was DELICIOUS and it was definitely an experience! The staff were very friendly and attentive and happily provided us with containers to take the leftovers home. We would definitely recommend this place and would come here again. If the woman who served us was a little more patient this would have been a 5...
