Worse service I ever witnessed, you'll have better service tipping £1 on Onlyfans

Problems:

1. They open late for no reason. I turned up on a Sunday at 11.40am and waited for 10mins for the doors to be opened (which goes against the time openings on Google and AskItalia website which I double checked prior to arriving).

2. Staff giving lip for no reason. When the door opened, I asked if they were open and they said they were but can't serve food until midday which again makes no sense according to the website.

3. Tastecard snobbery. I asked if I could use the Tastecard and again was given lip, was told I should phone and book a table ahead of time... Well if you opened at 11.30am per your website, I could have. Reluctantly he agreed.

4. Refused to be given free house lemonade shot possible because of the above or just treated like plebs. I was seated and never got given a free shot of the house lemonade as two glasses had not been set up. I witnessed they placed glasses on every table after I sat down and gave every other patron that was seated after a free shot, did not bother to come back to my table at all. Perhaps you should set up tables at the correct opening time or even before?

5. They won't bother coming to take your payment if they think you are a pleb. After the staff swiped my Tastecard, they did not bother coming back to take payment. Waited for 10mins and can only assume they thought I was not a high roller to warrant their time... In that part, they are right!

Needless to say the above ruined the eating experience. If the manager can't even open a resturant on time, you should just shut this Brighton franchise. What hope is there if a joint can open/close willy-nilly at any unofficial time?!

Save your money everyone, you'll get better satisfaction tipping £1 to creators on Onlyfans or probably even me. AskItalia Epsom is great, this place is awful. Onlyfan of being able to pay by QR code so I don't need to Tip and can leave this dump as soon as possible!

All of the above gives the impression the manager only want "High Rollers" or "families with children" as customers.. I recommend NO Students, Gen Zs, Millennials, Influencers, Creators or...

A Perfect Evening from Start to Finish!

I had an absolutely fantastic dinner at Ask Italian last night and felt compelled to share how wonderful the experience was.

From the moment we were seated, our server, Ella, made us feel so welcome. She was attentive, friendly, and had brilliant recommendations. Her service was genuinely top-notch and added so much to our evening.

We started with the Garlic Bread with Mozzarella, and it was incredible! It arrived piping hot, with the cheese perfectly stretchy and the garlic butter deliciously rich without being overpowering. It was the ideal way to begin the meal.

For my main, I went with the classic Spaghetti Bolognese. It’s a great test of an Italian kitchen, and they passed with flying colours. The pasta was cooked al dente, and the sauce was clearly slow-cooked, packed with deep, savoury flavour and a hint of sweetness from the tomatoes. It was hearty, comforting, and exactly what I was hoping for.

We simply couldn't leave without dessert, and Ella highly recommended the Chocolate Brownie. I'm so glad we listened! It was decadently rich and warm, with a gooey centre that paired beautifully with the cold vanilla ice cream. A truly indulgent end to the meal.

Five stars all around. Great food, a lovely atmosphere, and exceptional service from Ella. We will definitely...

We had a last moment booking for 8ppl at busy day it seems for the staff there but they accommodated us without any hustle. I believe Italian manager was so nice, and polite. She took up upstairs and sat in the separate area. We had to wait for someone to come for a drinks order or anything so after 10 minutes i had to go downstairs and ask if someone could serve us as we had only 1,5h. Manager came to us and she took whole our order. She was very nice, polite and we didn't felt at all that we unwanted or that she is rushed. Amazing person!

Drinks arrived after another 10minutes abd after anither 15 food start coming. I felt stressed as i was taking my friends from India and Nepal for a few days in Brighton and we had few other attraction booked at this day. So I was a bit frustrated with the waiting time but when the food arrived it compensated everything. Food was amazing. Every single bite of pasta, pizza, any chicken or anything was absolutely amazing.

For food and service (from manager) like this i dont mind to wait and be late for other booked things...
