Boo — Restaurant in England

I don't usually complain about places I visit, however really feel strongly about the way I was made to feel in your store. Upon ordering, I needed to use the bathroom (am disabled) and asked for the number for the lock on the disabled toilet. I was told by the man behind the till that I had to go downstairs to use the toilet. I went down the steep narrow stairs to be met face to face with 20+ full grown men shouting praying openly and the door to the toilet locked. As a woman, a disabled woman, I felt incredibly intimidated as was the only woman down in the basement. This should not ever be allowed to happen. As a survivor of severe sexual assault, I had a panic attack and couldn't breathe, surrounded by a group of men. I finally managed to get back to the stairs with great difficulty. I complained to the man at the till and asked why he sent me down there rather toilet on the first floor. He told me they don't normally allow access to the toilet there. I asked for him to cancel our Order and refund me (£68) I'm thoroughly disappointed that no respect was given to me as a customer, being a minority and vulnerable in that situation. Its as if whatever is going On down there was a priority, over paying customers. Whilst I understand that not every man sexually assaults a woman/girl, I feel that you are opening yourself up to serious Problems. I do not want ANY other woman or girl to feel as intimidated as I did. OR feel ashamed to ask for help in that situation. Receiving my money back should have been an easy thing, however the member of staff was rude, tutted and see me as an inconvenience. I wasn't respected when I quietly explained my problem, not listened to and disregarded. So many human rights disrespected in just this one experience. I've had enough of men...

I recently visited a delightful eatery in the city centre and had an exceptional experience, thanks in no small part to the wonderful service provided by Taran, the cashier.
