Taylor's Stevonia Fish and Chips — Restaurant in England

• Drinks *

Firstly, let’s talk about drinks, these are ridiculously overpriced £1.65 for a small glass of a soft drink (which was more than likely poured out of a large 2 litre bottle) on top of the drinks being overpriced they were also not refrigerated and were served at room temperature, which was also a major let down bearing in mind the price of them.

• Food *

Secondly let’s talk about the food, as it clearly wasn’t the highest of quality by the longest of shots. We ordered a Standard Fish and Chips (Chose Cod) alongside this a Cheese and Onion Toastie with Chips.

• Fish and Chips *

The Fish was incredibly Oily, and the batter was nothing to write home about also the actual fish tasted very mushy (like it was reformed fish) and the hand peeled, hand cooked chips certainly were not prepared on the premises, they are more like catering oven chips, but cooked in a deep fat fryer, as these had a dirty oil taste. However they did look reasonably clean.

• Cheese and Onion Toastie and Chips *

Where to start with this meal. The Cheese and Onion Toastie had hardly any cheese in it it was mainly onion, if I order a Cheese and Onion Toastie I would expect to at least see some Cheese in it albeit melted, the amount of cheese was so little, it actually looked like butter and been put on and they forgot the cheese in the toasted sandwich. In relation to the chips it was the same as the chips used in the above Fish and Chips dish.

Regular (Cod) Fish and Chips £6.95 Cheese and Onion Toastie and Chips £5.45 Small Glass of Coca Cola £1.65 Small Glass of Tango Orange £1.65

Total £15.70

• Final Thoughts *

Now it’s not up to me whether you use this restaurant or not but the only thing which stuck out for me was the service which also wasn’t that great. Please think about if you are going to use this restaurant but I can categorically say now that I will not being using the restaurant at any point the near future as I was thoroughly disappointed with the events of this visit. And therefore I will be going to give it a review of 1* however this was for the service alone and not the food or the drinks...

Absolute dive! Shouldve saw sense as the place was empty but had been travelling that day. Myself and my husband both had the fish and chips our children had nuggets and pizza ... fish was greasy and quite tastless very watery. Pizza was also greasy. Myself and husband woke up cramping stomachs had to go to the nearest chemist to buy something to help us not s*it ourselves for the journey home (3.5 hours) we were supposed to be staying in blackpool another night but couldn't due to these circumstances. We went back to make a complaint to which we were met by an angry little man claiming food poisoning takes at least 24hrs to kick in .... Read the screenshot buddy! Extremely rude considering as he said 'the customer is always right' Formal...

💯% highly recommended Taylors Stevonia fish and chips est 1919 get your self down staff are sp welcoming but When i say this place ticked all marks spot on as I said focusing on the freshness and quality of the fish and chips, i can not highlight the the crispyness enough , golden batter, the flaky, succulent fish, the properly cooked chips real fresh potato chippy chips, thats a easy 10/10 in my eyes straight up its a must 5 star easy 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 Definitely be coming again...
