One word, Karen!

A lady called Karen - who claimed to be the owner of the bar's wife verbally abused me on multiple occasions during the 2&1/2 hours that we were in the bar. She shoved me multiple times, poked me and shouted in my face.

She had asked me to move down the bar so that she could get served first whilst everyone else made an orderly queue behind one another. I politely declined and then the abuse begun.

I can't fault the bar staff. All apologised to me and asked Karen to calm down multiple times as well as asking her to stay away from the bar. Even her supposed husband apologised. I also appreciated the apology as we left from the bar staff. Quite frankly, they were mortified by her behaviour.

I hope that following this, she is banned from the bar and perhaps given a reminder about bar etiquette and...

Came to watch the football and it was a very good venue except for a lady called Karen (would you believe 😂) who claimed to be the owners wife who barged us out of the way of the bar and verbally abused us repeatedly for standing at the bar to watch the football. The staff were extremely polite and great but unfortunately Karen ruined our experience. It was an England game in the euros so was very busy and during our time we witnessed the same lady be abusive towards multiple customers for no apparent reason. I think she had too much to drink and was very rude to people in the pub. Myself and 2 lady friends didn't know what to expect going into this sports bar, tucked away behind Sergio's Italian restaurant. We hoped to be able to watch the United match, have a drink and a chat. From the moment we stepped in, we were asked if we wanted to watch a match , which one and we were then taken to a table close to a screen. The staff were so attentive and friendly and looked after us all night, making sure we had drinks and stopping to chat to us. Such a great, friendly atmosphere with a group playing pool close by. All 3 of us were totally impressed by the efficiency and friendliness of the staff.Definitely returning next...
