VIBE Bar Hull — Restaurant in England

4 ladies in our 50s went to the Vibe tonight, thinking it would be a nice place to have a cocktail . . . however we were totally disappointed, we would've received a better service at The Three John Scott's!

It wasn't exactly busy, however 2 of my friends were asked by a female bar person if they wanted anything! 🤔 Hmmm . . . in a bar, what would they want ? 🤔.

I asked for 2 Porn Star Martini's, which were served pretty quickly, however when I asked "where are the processco shots, that normally accompany a PSM", I was told that they didn't have any prosecco!

I asked what would we get to replace the absent processco shot, a very rude female bar person, apparently the manager, said "I can give you a shot of lemonade". I obviously said no, and asked if she would reduce the price, her answer was no, I asked if we could have some other shot eg Tequila Rose, her answer was no, I can't do anything else for you!

I asked to speak to the manager, she told me she was the manager, I then asked to speak to her manager, she pointed to a young guy and told me he was the owner. He said "give me a minute", after waiting several minutes another female bar person brought in a box of prosecco. After 10 mins we were given 2 half shots of processco. I said to the bar person "oh so you do have some prosecco", I was given a very rude answer!

I asked for the name of the female bar person who was rude to us and pointed out that her behaviour was unacceptable! I was told by the 'owner' that he would not give me the female bar persons name.

We had been out in Humber Street for food and drinks for 2 of our birthdays, had a great afternoon but our night was ruined by the behaviour and rudeness of the one particular female bar person who claimed she was the manager at the Vibe!

Would we go again . . . absolutely NOT!

Best French Martini I've had for long time. Bar staff are friendly and are quick to make the cocktails with top notch presentation. It's refreshing when some places can take up to 5-10 minutes per cocktail.

The atmosphere and decor are great, it's very stylish and modern, but there's a cosiness to it with the plush seating and floral elements. I've been in a couple of times and the music is always pumping, not too loud, or too hard beat-wise, but still enough to dance to if you want.

Only thing I would say is the toilet cubicles are pretty small and I managed to knock the loo roll off the holder as there's no stopper so just be careful 😅. I'm also surprised that there are 2 slow/old-fashioned hand dryers in the toilets of such a modern place. FYI I don't think they do food, but I have to give a star rating...

We have been in Vibe bar on several occasions and it has been a good evening with good choice of drinks.

Unfortunately we went last night (29/3) and was let down by the service. Upon coming in the only drinks menus were on tables occupied by large groups. When asking at the bar for a menu I was told to get one from the table. Unsure why they didn't have some behind the bar, but equally felt the server could have got one for us. Ordered our drinks and she clearly misheard as tried to serve us something completely different. When advised that wasn't what we ordered she appeared to mutter, "I did repeat it back". To which we had not heard. She then continued to mutter to her colleague. Needless to say we changed plans and went elsewhere for the evening. Otherwise we would have stayed to have had many drinks...
